My son has had one since he was and he uses it every day.
They are so easy to steer and control.
definitely worth it.
We have had numerous other scooters and this one has been the most long lasting.0 -
They are great, light-weight but very hard wearing.
My DD is a lazy walker so the scooter goes anywhere that isn't a few minutes walk away. So I consider it a mode of transport as much as a fun toy. Had it two years now and I'm sure she'll continue to ride it until she outgrows it.
Why not try ebay if you are baulking at the price. We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -
How old is the child it is intended for?
We bought one for our 2 year old son. He never used the seat attachment (despite us fitting it before he saw it). Whilst he uses it often (in the house - wooden floors), he hasn't got the hang of steering it yet.
In terms of build quality, it does seem very sturdy but lightweight. I'd expect it to last until he outgrows it in a few years so might prove decent value in the long term.0 -
My two daughters have one and I think they are the best scooters out there. They are easy to use, easy to steer, lightweight etc.
We have other cheaper scooters that are just left in the garden to rust.
They may be expensive, but like others have said, great for getting your kids around and not just a toy. Mine use them to get home from school and have them a few years already. Will get the bigger ones when the need arises, but don't need to at the moment and my children are 7 and (almost) 5.Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

Thanks everyone for giving me your thoughts, we're going to get it for the 4 year old for Christmas and then pass it down to the little one.

If it's for a four-year-old then the Maxi-Micro might be better - it can be extended and should last until they're about 10.
We have had a mini and a maxi. They're very good but the rubber ends to the handlebars come off after a while. It can still be used without them though.0 -
Hand grips and brakes are cheap and easy to replace in my experience- we've had mini, maxi, sprite and a couple of adult scooters and they are sturdy, hold their value well and are, frankly, great fun.
The Maxi micro might be ok if your 4-year-old is very tall, otherwise go with the mini for now. (The handlebars should be at least 8"/ 20cm below your child's chin to prevent them from bashing themselves in the face.)They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.0 -
They are very good quality. Worth the price imo.0

They keep their value, if you look on ebay you will see lots for sale at still quite high prices. My oldest has had hers for 4 years and it still looks like new so you will be able to recoup some of the cost or pass it on to a sibling when they have finished with it.0

We have 2. The 6yr old had his second hand 3.5yrs ago - it's been thoroughly used & abused and still works well.
He got a 2 wheeler razor scooter last year but is resisting handing the minimicro down.0
