Can anyone recommend where I could buy an unlocked Quad Band Phone (suitable for New Zealand, Cambodia, Thailand)? - I've tried Google and Amazon but they haven't turned up anything remotely solid. I'd like to be able to have a choice of phones. I also tried the Mega Shopbot on this site but it only turned up one phone on Amazon which isn't well reviewed.
I guess I want to choose from a selection of quad-band unlocked phones that have good reviews.
Thanks in advance, and have a great weekend!
Your best bet is either to go to the Carphone Warehouse (which sells most phones already unlocked) or just buy a locked phone and pay £10 or so at an independent mobile shop or market stall to have it unlocked (if you do this make sure you test it with a SIM card from a different network before you pay).Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning0 -
Ok cool I'll check it out, thanks! :T0

If your trip will include Japan or South Korea then you need 3g coverage as well, as their other bands are not GSM compatible.
I'd say consider a (secondhand) Nokia E51, has wi-fi as well0 -
Hi can anyone advise me on using mobile internet while in Las Vegas? I phoned my service provider here (o2) and they said the cost for using the internet on my phone was £6 per megabite!!!!
If I buy an American sim card would surfing the net on my phone be cheaper? Could I also use the sim card in my laptops mobile broardband dongle?
I have a nokia N95 will i have to change the settings in my phone? Lots of questions, sorry, but has anyone else tried this?
Thanks0 -

For data you can get an AT&T sim card. they have a data add on of 100 MB for $19.99. Not cheap but they are the only one that offer any kind of data I think. You can also lookt into tmobile since they offr quite cheap rates especially with sms. SMS international or not costs $0.10.Hi can anyone advise me on using mobile internet while in Las Vegas?
