Multiple bank accounts

Can you have multiple bank accounts? I want to switch accounts and I need 2: one for my every day and one for my salary. If I had them from different banks I could take advantage of offers; but, is it legal?

I've got a bank account for my bills
A bank account for joint bills
A bank account for spending money
A savings account

As far as I'm aware, you can have as many as you'd like

I have three bank accounts, 1 for salary, 1 for bills, and the third for shopping/spending

Yes of course it is legal to have as many current accounts as you get accepted for, with as many banks as you like. Some here have well in excess of 10 accounts.

Its advised to spread out your accounts eg if a bank has an issue eg like Natwest earlier this year.

You can have as many as you like as long as your comfortable with the management of them.
