I can't understand people who pile all their shopping into the trolley and once the trolley is full again and they've paid, they then spend a further 10 minutes packing it into bags. When I go supermarket shopping (even at Aldi/Lidl where they put your groceries through at a fast rate of knots) I pack it into large bags for life etc as I go (I do make it easier for myself by the way I put the shopping onto the conveyer belt beforehand, ie heavy things first to go through and bread last).
Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time

No, this doesn't irritate me, what irritates me is parents who allow their toddlers to drive the trolley and think it's hilarious when they bang into other customers and knock things off shelves because "they're only 2" or older children on scooters riding around during the evening 8pm peak or much later at 11pm (yes parents bring kids to the supermarket after 11pm) and then shout down staff with abuse when staff ask them to please make sure their children don't pose a risk to other customers.
Or when stores don't keep offers instock...until the offers have ended, or when staff are on their mobile when serving me, or when prices don't match on the shelf price and I have to wait until the next day to go argue my partial refund with the store the next day with said item (I tend to shop when customer services is closed)

But most of all, I dislike the way big supermarkets take £millions and then refuse to pay their staff a living wage.

People packing at the last minute/finding their purse at the last minute is the least of my irritations- there are far more irritating things in supermarkets! Sorry OP, I understand where your coming from, I just disagree!

Even worse are those that stand andw atch all the shopping gping through and piling up.
After it is all through they start to pack it.

After it is packed to their liking they hunt for their purse and then hunt for the money to pay.

Maybe one dy that will be you or me.

    .

Because it is almost impossible to check your shopping is being scanned/charged correctly and pack it at the same time ? - And much easier to fix faults before paying , than having to check the receipt at the end and re-queue at customer services

I find people just standing in the queue and not moving towards the checkout most annoying, especially when their shopping on the conveyor is six feet ahead of them. Lidl seems to be the worst for this.
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

Because they believe the world evolves around themselves only.

I would argue that the world evolves around us all ;)

    Good old evolution :D

And this sort of specious crying wolf is what causes people with disabilities more and real problems. Genuine concerns are overlooked because they end up being lumped in with nonsense like this.

I have a friend that does that, then hunts for the loyalty card as well. She keeps receipts since the Ark!!! I just stand a roll my eyes and give a pity look to the SA.

And also hunt for various vouchers which some are out of date (but still expects the shop to honour them), some relate to products not purchased etc.

Doesn't bother me at all, i shop at Aldi. Shopping on conveyor belt, move to checkout, put shopping back in trolley, pay, move away from the checkout, then check my receipt before packing my shopping. The whole procedure takes about 5 minutes at the most. Even people with huge trolley loads are moved through quickly. I can't stand shopping in other supermarkets now, it all takes so long.

I don't have a problem keeping one eye on the price display as things go through and saying "hang on" to the operator if needed. Especially if I know I've picked up reduced items...
I need to think of something new here...
