UKPC At It Again

Just looking at the image suggests it has been 'shopped. The sloping of the edges of the UKPC sign are far more pronounced than the other signs on the same post. (Notwithstanding the fact that the Council signage takes precedence anyway).
  • The evidence for the photoshopping is overwhelming. Not least of which is the fact that it is on top of a PROPER "No Waiting" sign.

It is clearly an attempt at fraud and the police should act. The BPA - controlled DVLA might then actually grow a pair.

UKPC have form over this. A couple of years ago they were ticking cars on the approach road to a hospital, even though that road had been taken over by the council some months before.

The pictures on the Prankster's blog are pretty low-res and small. I assume he (and the original recipient) has better size and quality pics, on which forensic analysis should be clearer.

It seems that in 2015 *any* large company can cheat money out of the general population of this country with no implications what so ever?

Our obsession with self regulation and light touch regulation (ie none) has led to this.

Agreed. Which means the fact the sloping is still very obvious tells us that their 'shopping skills are rubbish. ;)

As you say ST, low-res photos. However, if you zoom in on the first photo and look to the left-hand side of the windows of the house at the top of the street, there is a semblance of a white 'sign' that looks somewhat in proportion to the UKPC one in the last photo?

    EDITED TO ADD:

And when you check out this better photograph, I'm sure the sign is one and the same above.

    However two issues remain unexplained:

    1. Why is the UKPC sign attached to a lamppost showing a statutory 'No parking at any time' sign.

    2. Where the car is parked, no signage exists.

    Hartley Wintney
    HOOK
    RG27 8WR

    Anyone local to there?

  • I don't think the phot has been photo-shopped. The photo is low-res because that is the quality UK PC make available to motorists.

Google Streetview is no use here- the images are from 2009, before the estate was built.

In my opinion the problems are
    1) It seems this is council land from the signs - so why are UKPC ticketing here
    2) There are no signs by the cars

    3) So even if the warden issued the ticket in error, why is this not picked up by the UKPC appeals service? Obviously we can speculate that the internal appeals service is not fit for purpose and just sends out appeal denied. I would expect a genuine appeals service to check signage and car position and also know what a council no waiting sign looks like. All these should ring alarm bells that the warden is off-piste.

    Or on-the-piste, or taking-the-piste. :)
