Do I reply to UKPC Final Reminder?

Apologies for any ignorance but I have just registered with this site as was looking for advice on a ticket recently received from UKPC .
Have a company sign written vehicle and parked outside of the designated lines in a car park.
Received a NTK from UKPC dated 2nd Sept offering 14day early discount and on advice that I had read somewhere else I ignored it. It was addressed to the registered keeper who they have named and a windscreen ticket was not received. The registered keeper is a <company name> and <company director>. They got the company Directors name correct but the company name was missing about 10 letters and was therefore incorrect.
I have since received a second notice to keeper dated 2nd Oct giving 28days to pay £100. Again rightly or wrongly I ignored this too.
This week I received FINAL REMINDER dated 19th Oct giving me 14days to pay same amount.
Can somebody please advise if I have acted correctly or not?
After reading the newbies thread it looks like I should sent an appeal letter but I was wondering if in the light of UKPC current legal status that they have acted illegally in obtaining registered keeper details?!
Thanks in advance.

they probably were not banned in late august or early september, so probably got your details before their ban for perceived fraud
see here http://parking-prankster.blogspot.co.uk/2015/09/uk-parking-control-reported-as.html
the KEEPER needs to send them the template appeal from that NEWBIES thread
IGNORE hasnt been advised for 3 years, since POFA2012 came in (if this is in england or wales)0 -

Come back if they try a small claim but UKPC hardly ever do. Keep your eye on the news re the outcome of Barry Beavis v ParkingEye (due out soon, will make the news) as that will affect how other parking firms react in future.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I've read the Newbie thread and was getting ready to send the template letter but I'm a bit confused now as seem to be getting conflicting advice.
I have been told to send the template letter found on the newbie thingy but someone else has said it's too late to appeal and I should ignore. But then someone else says that Ignore is not the current advise?!? I have just read on the back of the final reminder dated 19/10/15 that appeals need to be received within 14days of the reminder so it appears I am still in time if I should reply.
I'm sure I read somewhere else that you can still appeal outside the deadlines they put in place as it shows willing to resolve.....or have I misinterpreted something?!
HELP please as not sure what to do now?!?!
PS this is in England btw.0 -
Please read post #5 again ... you've waited too long so there is no point in starting ANY appeals process, at least not with UKPC given their current situation. Keep your head below the parapet and it'll all go away after the debt collector letters - the chances of UKPC actually choosing YOU to take to court are slim to none.
(Hint: UKPC have never taken ANYONE to a court hearing. The only court hearings they have been involved in have been when THEY have been taken to court. They also lost each time).0 -

everybody has an opinion, hence why you get differing replies, there is no one size fits all scenario
I have been coming here for a couple of years or more and one aspect of these cases is that the PPC,s impose their own time limits
the fact is that you can and should appeal, no matter how long the gap, because if it goes to court you would be expected to show that you engaged with the PPC to try to resolve it
let us assume that you go through the motions and appeal it (I would)
let us assume they dont issue a popla code but issue a rejection letter saying you are "out of time" , its only "their time" you are out of , there is no legal reason why they cannot consider your appeal at any time, plus they can give you a popla code at any time
their rejection gives you paperwork to show a judge , if it got that far
therefore I would take it as far as the rejection and then IGNORE them unless court papers followed (from Northampton or Salford)
others on here may disagree, the ball is in your court so you must read all the replies and decide which course of action to take, bearing in mind they cannot get RK details at the moment from new "transgressors" so may aim their guns on people like you where they got those details before they were banned from the dvla database
as for them being investigated, it hasnt stopped them pursuing existing claims where they have RK details, so "it aint over until the fat lady sings" , in which case I believe you should still go through the motions, like they are
therefore, I would send the template letter, appeal , then see what transpires, if they were daft enough not to notice the time lag and issue a popla code, even better, if they reject your appeal, then you have a rejection in writing to show any future arbitration service or court
you seem to have considered this in the second half of your reply above, I agree with you, others may not, it cannot do any harm though and only costs a first class stamp and free proof of posting from the PO counter staff0 -
Yep you could try an appeal but that letter sounds like it's a later one. Did you ignore the Notice to Keeper? - edit, I see you DID, wow that was VERY bad research, reading VERY old advice:Received a NTK from UKPC dated 2nd Sept offering 14day early discount and on advice that I had read somewhere else I ignored it.
You will just get the tedious DRPLus letters. Redx is not wrong, it cannot hurt to appeal but it reads as if you've missed the right letter to appeal to. Try it anyway, online of course, choosing 'registered keeper' on the dropdown menu, of course, on the UKPC website.
Don't send a letter in the post & no saying who was driving.
DO NOT PAY THEM.
DO NOT tell us about the DRPlus letters or Zenith ones or we will self-combust...thanks.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi, newbie here. I received a UKCP ticket on my car yesterday. I recently started working at a business that has a UKCP car park, gave the company my reg number and have been fine for a couple of weeks. Unfortunately yesterday there were no spaces left in this car park so went and parked in a "loading area" (this is not marked as such) where other staff members park and where the wheelie bins live. I put a little note in the windscreen saying where I worked and figured if they ran a search on my number plate they would see I do in fact work there. Have a ticket, pay within 14 days to get it reduced etc etc however on closer inspection they have printed my reg number wrong, should be 04 and they've put 05. Where do I stand on this? I presume they can still find me from pictures however their paper work will have an incorrect reg number. Any advice would be great0

You do need to start a new thread of your own, as we work on the basis of 'one case, one thread' so advice doesn't become confused and/or we have a complete free for all with any number of random cases being tagged on.
But first of all you do need to read thoroughly the NEWBIES FAQS sticky at the top of the forum thread list (one page back from here) which will give all of the initial information you need. It was written by Coupon-mad, one of the country's most knowledgeable people in dealing with private parking tickets. You won't find anything more comprehensive than this anywhere online.
The sticky is detailed and you might need a couple of 'passes' to digest it, so bite sized chunks with a cup of tea and armed with a notepad and pen over a couple days might be the best approach. You do need to make the effort to do some research via the sticky before asking for further help from regulars - we are so busy each day it's impossible to type and constantly repeat basic information - hence the sticky with all that stuff covered. But do come back after reading it if anything isn't clear to you.
However, - via a new thread of your own please.
BUT IN ANY NEW THREAD PLEASE BE CAREFUL TO TRANSCRIBE THE NAME OF THE PPC. UKCP DOESN'T EXIST An incorrect PPC name can lead to incorrect advice being given!
HTHPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
