Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker Car Insurance Carver! Debt-free and Proud!
    Evening all.

Have managed to spend zero, apart from church collection all weekend. Just as well as funds looking quite grim.
Had a major clean up , even washed my car, sorted through my knitting stash. Kind people keep giving me wool and I keep buying on ebay. Definitely need to get knitting and use up stash. Have used a vast amount of electricity washer pretty much on constantly.

Really pleased with last 3 days work.
VAT done. Lists written of unpaid bills.
    Cattle castrated.
    XMAS cakes made and fed
Sloe gin made and decanted ready for xmas gifts.
Rams in and working happily with the ewes.
Silage clamp is open and it is stunningly good.

So now just need to dehorn and prepare for early lambers in Jan.
Last 3 weeks we are living on £16 a week average groceries. Am quite pleased with this, 4 adults and visitors. As long as no machinery breaks we are on target to be where we expected Jan 2016. Not good, but no worse than budgeted.
    Have a good week all.

I like this. It might just be my quote for the week.

Maria dont ever stop posting here. How many of us have a "jobs done" list that mentions cattle castration!!! When you talk about the farm it brings back memories of my childhood.

So, I have not been out all weekend, except to walk the dog. Done lots of paperwork, including OHs monthly bills. Have had a tidy round, hung washing out, although it didnt dry.

I was going to go to the shops but the kids would have been with me so I would have ended up spending too much. The only thing we were really short of was bread so I have put the breadmaker on. Chicken pie made for tea followed by spotted !!!! done in the slow cooker. OH has made custard.

I have £25 in my purse and £3 in the bank. Need to make it last until Friday if I can, we are quite short of food shopping but I am sure that I can be creative.

  • CLF and Ally - glad I'm not the only one!! haha

Not done much today went to a shop my brother works in and helped decorate for halloween :D and went to see my friend and her baby and had lots of cuddles :)
    Read my diaryHere :)
  • I've just giggled my way through reading the latest posts - thinking of people whose lives involve castrating cattle, and the MSE filter putting exclamation marks in place of the second part of the name of a lovely raisin pudding that was part of my childhood. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I do want sticky toffee pudding or syrup sponge now though... ;)
Another busy day but again not so busy that I couldn't cope.

    Morning everyone. :D
    [STRIKE]:) load of washing[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]:) big shop at Sainsbury's, including my bits of Christmas stuff to get the best value[/STRIKE] Got my £13.50 off, plus my bonus Nectar points which included 1800 for spending over £90, plus my form class Christmas chocolates. So more than I'd like to spend but I'm happy with the bonus and vouchers.
[STRIKE]:) downloaded extra bonus point coupons to use while I'm at Mr S[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]:) tutoring[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]:) drop the boys at football. It's derby day and I really don't fancy Sunderland's chances. [/STRIKE] I was wrong - thankfully. The boys are happy.
[STRIKE]:) get dd to her tumbling class[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]:) do some cooking and baking with the kids to make cheap meals and use up [STRIKE]what's lying about in the cupboards[/STRIKE]
    :) do not stress[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]:) Oooh, I must also remember to cancel my free Equifax trial so that I get my cashback without paying at all.[/STRIKE]

I've had to have the heating on for an hour. I spent 3 hours in the kitchen with the kids making curry, sausage casserole, pear crumble and chocolate cookies. I didn't realise how cold it was until I left the kitchen but it is Baltic tonight... So relieved that I don't have to get up tomorrow, although my friend has invited me to her 6am exercise class if I'm up for it. :rotfl: Tomorrow I think we'll tackle pizza making and dd fancies a large batch of spaghetti Bolognese making.

    Evening all :)
    Busy today:
Spent the morning sorting through all the sales stock boxes in the garage and labelled them with the contents - at least I know what I have got now!
Sorted out some items to take to the shop tomorrow.
    Load of washing
HM meals - using up leftovers today :)
Shopping at Mr S this afternoon. Didn't spend enough to use a voucher though :(
Also bought chicken food from the farm supplier
    Walked pup
Made sloe gin - will need to clean sticky kitchen tomorrow

Slumped in front of the woodburner now - so cold outside!
