I live in rural mid wales so not as harsh weather as they get north of the border
at present we have roads that are covered in larch needles and they can be fun to stop on when wet, I dont think the best tyres in the world would help you stop on larch needles0 -
I've had to de ice the car window screens on a couple of occasions this month, winter tyres going on on Thursday. Had to wait 10 days for appointment as lots of other drivers doing the same.0

Well, yes. This forum has done winter tyres to death so what more can be said in terms of logical argument. I think, therefore, that it's time to lighten up.0

I am not looking for logical argument or advice on whether or not it is beneficial to run winter tyres
I am looking for advice from like minded safety conscious people on the forum as to whether it is a good idea to fit now or wait until the temperature drops a little more
if you don't believe there is any benefit of using Winter tyres then why waste your time reading and commenting on threads about them0 -
Our go on when the temperature is regularly under 7 degrees and come off when it is regularly above 7 degrees.
We live in the far north of Scotland where tempertures are still on the unusually warm side for the time of year.0 -

Fit them now - I have - there is absolutely no point in waiting.
I can't understand some folks reluctance to changing - a week or two will make no difference to the cost of using them - but may make a big safety difference in early morning or evening journeys.
And as for those who still don't see any benefit in winter tyres - may your good luck continue.0
