You can't change your password yet as the My Account page has been taken offline to make sure it's secure before allowing customer access again.

Talk Talk is in the process of telling its four million subscribers that it has fallen victim to a “sustained cyberattack”

The ISP admitted that “unfortunately” there is a “chance” that some customer data including subscribers' names, home addresses, dates of birth, phone numbers, email addresses, bank account info and credit card numbers have been accessed by hackers.

    So basically everything's out there!

To lose one parent may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose both looks like carelessness.

The BBC coverage is suggesting that not all of the data held was encrypted which if true is pretty appalling. Is there no end to this company's incompetence?

And interesting that TT don't even say which data was held unencrypted.

Was the data encrypted? If not, why not?

Not all of the data was encrypted. We constantly review and update our systems to make sure they are as secure as possible. We’re working with the police and cyber security experts to understand what happened and protect as best we can against similar attacks in future.

Don't worry Freddy, you'll get a card from the Queen next year :)
