Don't ignore WalMart and other similar stores.

You can pick up some real bargains in Walmart - my son got a really nice baseball glove for half the price of the sports shops and we found you could often get local souvenirs cheaper as well, eg Texas Rangers baseball gear in Dallas etc.

Wrangler jeans were also cheap in Walmart but the women's range wasn't nearly as good as the men's.

Petrols a lot cheaper but a pain to import.

Don't forget that cars in the USA are all left hand drive so the petrol designed for them won't work in the UK.

In my eyes, places like Outlet Malls are to be endured, rather than enjoyed .

Agreed! However, because we were there over Thanksgiving (should have mentioned sales for that too) and Black Friday last year a combination of Wallmart, Sears and the outlet near Palm Springs (plus PS's excellent market) sorted out all our Christmas and birthday presents for a year.
    . . .I did not speak out

    Then they came for me
And there was no one left
    To speak out for me..

I tried this myself before I saw your post, and then noticed that amazon.com will send it to UK for about £8.55, so total amazon.com delivered to UK is around £27.85 - a third cheaper than amazon.co.uk price!

A third cheaper than Amazon UK until VAT (20% or about £5.60) and a handling and collection charge levied by Royal Mail or relevant courier company are added on.
This charge will be £8 with RM and could be a fair bit higher with other companies.

Seems like Catheters are a hot ebay seller back here.

    Jeans
    Branded running shoes

Now everyone will be in on it, thanks. I'll have think of something else :rotfl:
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Thats a very good point however if you attach a length of hose to the petrol can and fill your car up from the opposite side of the petrol cap then it fools the car into thinking its american and it will accept it, however it will lead to your car getting confused at roundabouts

Holidays & shopping, not two words that go together in my book. Don't forget that "designer outlets" in The States are the same as designer outlets here - most of the stuff is specially made to be sold cheaper & isn't the same as the full price article.

My Kindle Paperwhite was around £60 iirc when they were £10ish here. Before anyone asks, I buy books from Amazon UK and they work absolutely fine.

Some of the bits I bought in Vegas (8 or 9% sales tax???) 2013

Ipad mini retina £319 Uk - £249 US
    Bose QC 15 £259 UK - £184 US
    Mac Mini £500 UK - £370 US
    G-Shock £109 UK - £66 US

Im sure Apple would fix an iPhone in the UK if brought in the US. Loads of people visiting the UK and needing their phones to be fixed for whatever reason - they are no going to leave people stranded. But i have an iPhone 6+ so i don't really need one - just thought it might be worth considering a 6S+ at that price and selling my 6+.

They will fix it here, but they will make a postage charge to cover the postage to send the duff phone to America.
