Wickes G24 parking ticket

Hello everyone,
I visited wickes a few weeks ago, I didn't buy anything on the day but overstayed at their car park for about an hour. A few days ago I received a contractual parking charge notice with pictures of the car getting in and out the car park that display the time and date. The car park fits about 100 cars and there were no more than 10 cars parked there at the time.
I am a client of theirs for a good few years and having to pay 60 or 100 pounds for this is quite frustrating. Having read a few posts of other people I think the best thing to do is to write to the wickes customer services and ask them to delete the charge.
Is this the correct way to deal with this? If it is the correct way can anyone help me with the wording of the letter as my written english is far from being good to write formal letters? If it's not the correct way then what shall I do? Ignore them?
Many thanks to all

you should have read the NEWBIES STICKY THREAD near the top of this forum, it explains what you need to do and why
so appeal to G24 using the template appeal letter
and write a letter of complaint to Wickes (or the landowner if different) trying to get a cancellation
this is assuming this was in england or wales, as the other two are IGNORE0 -
how much stuff do you have to take back to wickes , before they cancel the charge?0

I would do that as well.0 -
Fixed it for you.I think the best thing to do is to write to the wickes [STRIKE]customer services[/STRIKE] Managing Director and [STRIKE]ask[/STRIKE] TELL them to delete the charge.0

Thank you all for your replies! Your help is greatly appreciated.
I have read the newbies sticky thread as well as many threads about successful complaints. However there is not a template for such complaints letters and I don't really know what should I write. How am I going to complaint without saying that I was the driver? Aren't they going to ask me to get the driver to contact them?0 -
template:
1: open the boot of your car
2: go thru invoices from wickes
3: select goods that have wickes receipts
4: place those in boot of car
5: drive to wickes
6: locate refunds desk and shout loudly
you may want to move on to 7:
7: drive to wickes and locate manager , not the office boy , have a photocopied copy of your PPC invoice with your name / email address and phone number clearly written on it , as manager to get the invoice dropped and to contact you to confirm this0 -
Thank you all for your very quick replies! Your help is greatly appreciated.

Why would they? YOU are the one with the fake PCN letter harassing you as soon as it arrived in the post?! Just say you were 'an occupant of the car' when complaining. Shedloads of examples here:

How is the following for a complain letter?
Although the day when the ticket was issued I didn’t purchase anything, I am a genuine customer of Wickes and have been using this branch for many years. Throughout the years I have spent a lot of money buying tools and materials for various DIY projects and receiving this parking ticket is very frustrating. It shows very little consideration of Wickes' customers' feelings, and is potentially damaging to Wickes' reputation. In fact, there's arguably zero cost for the company as the car park was almost empty with a handful of occupied spaces. I trust that you’ll cancel this invoice and allow us to spend this money in your store.0
