Wickes G24 parking ticket

How is the following for a complain letter?
I am a genuine customer of Wickes and have been using this branch for many years. Throughout the years I have spent a lot of money buying tools and materials for various DIY projects and receiving this parking ticket is very frustrating. It shows very little consideration of Wickes' customers' feelings, and is potentially damaging to Wickes' reputation. In fact, there's arguably zero cost for the company as the car park was almost empty with a handful of occupied spaces. I trust that you’ll cancel this invoice and allow us to spend this money in your store.
Too wishy washy in my opinion. Replace the first line with something like,
I am a regular customer of Wickes and visited your *location* store on *date* but couldn't find what I wanted.
Then explain that you received a PCN, then explain about the stuff you have bought over the years.
Finish along the lines of, in order to retain me, my family, and friends as loyal customers I trust you will instruct the parking scumpany to cancel this parking invoice forthwith.
Other words of complaint are available.
Meanwhile, read and understand the NEWBIES thread and appeal using the template unless you get a cancellation notice from the PPC. Don't rely on Wickes' management getting it cancelled before the appeal deadline. Do both in parallel.
It is not cancelled until the scammers say it is cancelled.
Do not pay, do not ignore, do not reveal who was driving (to Wickes or the PPC), do not miss the appeal deadline. Never, ever 'phone a parking company.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Thanks Fruitcake and everyone else that had some input on this letter. I have now complaint to Wickes and have also appealed to G24. I will update this post once I get a response.0

I am in the same boat as you, only I had the template response refuted by G24. They replied saying there would be no further correspondence and that my only option if refusing to pay is to appeal with the IAS. I also did not make a purchase on the day after spending some time looking at tiles, due to poor customer service making it very difficult to purchase tile samples.
I contacted Wickes via Twitter and they washed their hands of it, saying I would need to go via the specific branch in question, who may well not remember me by now.0 -
Twitter for God's sake! D'you know that most large companies don't even have their own staff handling social media, they farm it out to a PR company?
Write a bloody letter to the CEO for crying out loud:
John Carter,
CEO,
Travis Perkins,

That may be true of many companies, but I've had luck with more than a couple in terms of getting very quick (within minutes), pertinent answers.
As it turns out, going to the branch was the right approach because the evening manager didn't even need to hear my finish explaining the situation before getting his phone out to send an e-mail and have the charge cancelled. I got a letter shortly afterwards confirming there'd be no penalty charge payable.0
