It is not a laptop, it is a desktop.
Apologies, assumed it was a laptop as per AndyPix's previous reply.

NiftyDigits gave you a link earlier to a few possible drivers- you've got a 7000-Series ATI Radeon Video Card. The last official driver (Catalyst 6.11, circa November 2006) for that card for Windows XP 32-bit is available here.

I'd suggest removing any copies of Catalyst via Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs, then install the driver again from the above link.

Be sure to tell it to NOT automatically update Catalyst if given the option in whatever settings menu it offers, since the more recent versions of it will not support your old card (this could well be what broke it in the first place!)

Once you've done that, then if it still won't run at your previous resolution you may also need to install a specific Monitor driver.

Usually the Video Card takes care of detecting what modes your monitor supports via Plug-and-play, but certain monitors need specific drivers - particularly with XP. You should be able to find the model of the monitor on the back.

    Again, look here or here

First link gives you the option to automatically detect the Driver needed. Second links you to the Driver without need of the first link(it's the one at the top).

Likely you have other issues anyway. Any reason why you are still running XP?
