Is Spar still doing their spend 40p thing. I seem to remember last week, people were getting the sun for 40p from Spar, and getting a copy free. Sorry if this has been asked this morning but did try seach first

Just off the phone to asda - apologetic and sending me a gift card to cover the cost plus a bit extra. I kept telling them that I wasn't out of pocket cos I told them to keep their cider and I'd go to Tesco - I just wanted the non scan coon policy sorted. She rang the store while I waited and apparently the duty manager is off to instruct all till staff that they must accept them. God knows how that will work cos of they don't scan they no longer seem able to input manually. Anyway, he says I should ask for him if I have any more trouble so I will pop back on later and test the water.

They can't extort money from you "after the event" - all they can do is suspend you and say you can't use their service again.

To try to do anything else would be fraudulent and you would be well within your rights to raise a transaction dispute with your bank and get the money held or back to you until the dispute was resolved; ASDA are a big company but they aren't allowed to be The Krays :-)

I know, I was shocked when I checked my A account yesterday afternoon to see if it had gone to collected to check the APG and it said order cancelled. Im sure I had enough on the Santander CC when I ordered the shopping. Seems it was a tiny bit short

Afternoon, I used 6 Cidre vouchers in one transaction this morning, sa put them in manually without a grumble, just a smile and apology for taking so long.:)

Probably best to ring head office re this malarkey with coupons - they have just told me policy has NOT hanged and the stores must accept them if you have the right product. I will report back later when I try again with the store that has just been told that by head office.
