I've mentioned to a few SAs now that if they cover up the old barcode as they scan, the system is much more likely to see the 'other' barcode as they have been waving it all over the place like they're swatting a wasp :rotfl:

Thats made me laugh:rotfl::rotfl:That is exactly like it was.:rotfl::rotfl:

My mystery wine totalled £160ish best ever mix I have had for a bargain box. :T

The fine wine was not one of the really expensive £100 plus bottles it was this one....

    http://www.tesco.com/wine/product/details/default.aspx?No=70&N=8132+4294967245&id=274669866

but I did get 3 bottles. ;) I did find it bit spooky to actually find fine wine in the box after mentioning on here the other day they can turn up in the mystery cases.

That's you sorted for Christmas :T:T

it seems very unfair to me that the SA has to bear the brunt of the !!!! up that is now Asda APG policy. I was told the till wouldn't accept my APG so they must have been used already (they hadn't). I stood my ground and eventually got them accepted, but only after a supervisor override. The poor SA was deeply embarrassed by it all.
So does the new system mean it will be up to the SA to identify fraud and accuse the shopper? Not a task I would fancy.

I was told a week ago that the new system would eliminate the need for them to retain the APG, making it easier for the cash office.

Seems that some stores have upgraded the till software but have forgotten to ensure their systems are talking to eagle3y3.

Hence ££ appearing on the screen for genuine vouchers and them appearing to be fake.

One store nearish me has the new system and it's worked fine in there though.

Maybe it's stores on dial-up internet that have problems :rotfl:

A v M. sorreen compared at 50p the other day.

I lost 50p on my mustard coupon. The sa scanned it and thought it had gone through but receipt shows it as voided.I will write that off.I used 3 apgs .The sa scanned as usual but till said scan other barcode. She must have scanned all 3 about 20 times but no joy.She finally called a runner who scanned bottom barcode and then asked for the receipts back again. She then scanned bottom of receipts as well and they went through ok.

She said mine were the only ones that had scanned correctly all day.

The new system for coupons seems to also mess up ordinary moc it takes it off then at the end void them off again, this has happened twice this week to me.
today I told the till person my £1 has not come off the total she said it had until I pointed to the bottom of the receipt that it says void and not taken the £1 off

:rotfl::rotfl: Policy implementation (or lack of it) and - has it ever been thought through in advance as to how it might all work? No prizes for guessing the answer to that one again. Do they ever? Clearly, with two barcodes and the possibility that the system might pick up one when they wanted to scan the other and the resulting confusion and/or time-wasted that might be created by trying to sort that out - hasn't been thought through beforehand it may seem. What a surprise!:rotfl:
