So proud of DD2 today she has been in a battle with T direct and won. :j

Yodel lost her new phone en route for store collection.

And it was OOS for re-order and she had used CC vouchers but in the end a manager was true to his word and refunded the whole amount so she can buy elsewhere. :D

it seems very unfair to me that the SA has to bear the brunt of the !!!! up that is now Asda APG policy. I was told the till wouldn't accept my APG so they must have been used already (they hadn't). I stood my ground and eventually got them accepted, but only after a supervisor override. The poor SA was deeply embarrassed by it all.
So does the new system mean it will be up to the SA to identify fraud and accuse the shopper? Not a task I would fancy.

I was told a week ago that the new system would eliminate the need for them to retain the APG, making it easier for the cash office.

Impressive tiny shoes... I really need to restock my empty wine rack... I also need to find expensive looking bottles as gifts but at elite prices... What a challenge as we need them to be the same type so there's no arguing....

Where I used to work we were always give black tower.... never did drink it so I need something that looks and tastes good but appeals to most tastes.

I'm really chuffed as none of the labels are damaged so I could gift some of these.

What about those bottles of English champagne that LEJC posted about yesterday fiver in As I think they were. They looked very impressive for gifts.

A v M. sorreen compared at 50p the other day.

I lost 50p on my mustard coupon. The sa scanned it and thought it had gone through but receipt shows it as voided.I will write that off.I used 3 apgs .The sa scanned as usual but till said scan other barcode. She must have scanned all 3 about 20 times but no joy.She finally called a runner who scanned bottom barcode and then asked for the receipts back again. She then scanned bottom of receipts as well and they went through ok.

She said mine were the only ones that had scanned correctly all day.

I've mentioned to a few SAs now that if they cover up the old barcode as they scan, the system is much more likely to see the 'other' barcode as they have been waving it all over the place like they're swatting a wasp :rotfl:

Been out all day so just catching up.

Don't normally get involved in the personal side of the thread but can't ignore FCs news.

FC, give the damned C a blooming great kicking and don't let it win. You are a very strong woman, just show the cancer how strong you are.

Life can be cr,p at times, but it is far worse if you let it get to you.

Visited a store a long way from home in B'mth today and had to spend a few APGs.

All tills had been transferred to Eagle Eye at 0300. The daytime staff didn't have the foggiest how to process the APGs and admitted that no staff training had been given on how to process under Eagle Eye.

After about 10mins it became pretty evident how it worked and should be relatively easy to complete without assistance, but will still need a final authorisation (a wave of the staff barcode authorisation card).

Purchase receipt no longer states MNFCTRS COUPO when using an APG. It will state APG.

    Sounds about right.

Staff training?:eek: What? I'd be amazed if any staff training took place to be honest. In other words, I *expect* that any new system anywhere will be introduced without any training and will be utterly surprised if there any any occasions on which it is introduced after staff have been fully trained. In my old workplace (which wasn't anything to do with retail), they changed procedures from time to time of course. Almost always at a whim and without any of us staff at the frontline being given any information or the foggiest as to how the new system worked/was supposed to work. Seem to think that the people at the meeting at the top, that decided on the new system, were the only ones that needed to know and that the frontline staff, who actually deal with it on the ground, have no need to know and never communicate it to the people actually affected.
