I'd still argue it hadn't (but then I'd argue black was blue) but relates to the facts of any case. It still hasn't dealt with my own manoeuvrings and 'wheeze', which I think no-one has ever tried and no-one ever in practice would try, which is to put up my own notice in my car windscreen denying and expressly excluding the possibility or existence of any contract or any meeting of minds by itself in the first place.

It looks like what the Court has said - and all I've seen is a brief glimpse of the MSE news story - is that the amount chosen for the "fine" by the parking companies is not excessive. They can set whatever fee they like. Indeed, that's the contract. But...if I deny ever forming one in the first place...

I do not suggest that anyone automatically follows what I post in my posts - I'm not a lawyer (though I do have a masters degree in legal studies fwiw, doesn't mean owt:rotfl:) and nothing in this post should be taken as giving any legal advice. See I do know how to boilerplate myself and disclaim things:rotfl:.

The trouble is that a motorist accepts the contract by conduct (the act of parking) whereas with cameras there is no conduct that would be capable of acceptance.

Quite how 6 of their lordships can accept that the average consumer is happy to agree to pay £85 is mind boggling. I can only assume the supreme court herbal tea supplies are rather strong and the 1 judge who saw sense doesn't drink it !

Morning all. Hope all is well :)
Been desperately trying to read back about this soup glitch which would be perfect right now, but I'm struggling to take it all in and see where it started for the full information etc.
Can anyone confirm if this should work instore as well or is it C&C only?
Going to ask mother in law to grab me some :)
