:hello:, at last:D!
Worst price collection I have ever done:eek::eek:. However, there is no need for any concern, because this means:
(1) I haven't got back here only now; instead I got back some time ago but I couldn't be bothered with tea so I went out instead for something to eat and have now got back; and
(2) the price collection hasn't been messed up - instead it has been done thoroughly (or as thoroughly as ever:rotfl:) and just very long-winded. In fact it did mess up one item initially but I've been able rectify it later in the collection.
It's all the fault of FC, if she's still around, as it's always worse when I've missed out one of my collection days:rotfl:.
It seems that, if there was a return to the time when there were lots of really good prices in M, then that managed to last for just one week:(. Many of them have gone up and certainly not as good as what they were. There are at least three sets of product ranges that have gone from reduced offer prices and onto mbuys now - mbuy 'offers' that, on every occasion, are worse prices per unit than the offers were before.
I think it's mainly the Pork Shoulder is now £2/kg and the Seabrooks crisps at 50p. On the Pork Shoulder, I don't know whether it was £2/kg on Monday or not, so I don't know whether it is currently working already or whether it needs to wait until the update. The Seabrooks are 6 pack multipacks but I've had Walkers on 35p RTC pricing once before so I don't really think that straight 50p is really that good!
I went to a couple of other places on my way to M today anyway, so I didn't start it off the way I normally do. The main problem was that my store appears to have messed unnecessarily with several of the offer labels, despite the items turning out still to be on the offers. I won't tell you how many sets of conflicting pricing I saw within the same one store! Or maybe I will, later:rotfl:. Then I ended up writing down every item and price whose price I needed instead of just the ones that had changed. Then I got tempted by the Hallowe'en items, as well as there being lots of information about them (and several different ones) to take.
It seemed I was taking forever, yet when I finally emerged from the store the collection had taken only about the same time as normally does:huh:. However, I then got delayed on the journey to the next M and, as a result, got caught up in rush hour traffic (that was not supposed to happen:(:o:o) so, all in all, just spending a lot of time slowly making my journey to M - and a pointless lack of saving money - and then I needed other things from A - and... huh, okay!
I can guarantee that there will several new items that are not on m.com. As usual, my very best items will be ones that are not on m.com. However, whether they can guarantee to work or not...:rotfl: Maybe, as people have been doing very well, perhaps just buy the M list items - whenever some new ones appear which will take me forever of course:rotfl: - and just see whether if they work or not - just to test them - doesn't matter if they don't!
We are not bothered at all with msm of course, although they will not be on m.com and therefore will not be on msm either (because msm takes its information from m.com).
I wish Sains compared against M and compared against everything in my specific store - BM of course is just against A:( (A that is often perceived as being quite cheap but which can be very expensive indeed on some of its shelf prices and also very expensive on a.com (esp. if mbuys are missing:rotfl:, would not help at all for BM as that goes off a.com:rotfl::rotfl:)) - because I found one Schwartz product at a 'good' shelf price in M (probably not as good as Sains with CB and everything, vs A).
Nonetheless, all to be looked at and it'll just take however long and the items will slowly appear on the M list!:rotfl:
Btw, I've seen some ice creams below now (because it's taken me a few more minutes to 'finalise' this post) - and, not the ones below, but other branded ice creams - I'd say there were fairly risky now, if they have not already been before - as it's hit and miss which ones specific Ms will have instore and it seems some of them have removed all the SELs:( (:wall::rotfl:) from all the 'good' items even if they have left the products there. So a tip: if you have to be shopping in M, maybe look at the items that do not appear to have any price label at all, and perhaps those will appear to be some of the cheapest items on the shelf!:D
I've concluded that it's possible the frozen Pollocks are still on 2 for £3.50 mbuy after all, although it's no help trying to find that out when I have three different positions in three stores: first one, straight £1.84 and no mbuy; second one, no pricing at all and the third one £1.84 and 2 for £3.50 still on it. The unsmoked bacon (frozen one) again appears to be on mbuy - maybe it went off for a week, maybe it was always on!
I also wondered whether only the Cadbury Dairy Milk 90g was the only advent calendar on the 2 for £2, or whether there were other calendars in that offer. I've concluded - though it's extremely unclear I think (although, then again, things sometimes have to be crystal-clear to me more so than for most people) - that the others are not in the offer, though it has not been easy to decide that - and I may be wrong and maybe the others are on the offer after all. The second store was no help. £1.76 straight price on the Cadbury Dairy Milk 90g and the others it had, and no mbuy label there at all:rotfl::rotfl:. Then the mbuy label on the Selection boxes below mentioned the Cadbury Dairy Milk 90g - you would not have known if you looked straight at that product and the label that was underneath it - and they don't mention the other calendars at all:rotfl::rotfl:. As that's the label in all my stores, I've concluded that the only ones on the offer are the 90g CDM as they are the only ones specified on the label. However, I cannot by confident that the writers of that label have put down every item that is the offer. The others are different weights (but then so are some of the selection boxes) and the only thing that makes me confine it to the CDM 90g is that the offer labels have not been put somewhere else along the shelf, but only under the CDM offer. However, I had similar with the Pepsis a few weeks ago, and all of those turned out to be on the offer. So, it's not impossible that the other calendars could be on the offer although I've decided - and it's not been easy to tell at all - that they are not.0 -
