I know it crops up here sometimes so be warned, the supreme court today legitimised private parking penalties in England and Wales.

I'd still argue it hadn't (but then I'd argue black was blue) but relates to the facts of any case. It still hasn't dealt with my own manoeuvrings and 'wheeze', which I think no-one has ever tried and no-one ever in practice would try, which is to put up my own notice in my car windscreen denying and expressly excluding the possibility or existence of any contract or any meeting of minds by itself in the first place.

It looks like what the Court has said - and all I've seen is a brief glimpse of the MSE news story - is that the amount chosen for the "fine" by the parking companies is not excessive. They can set whatever fee they like. Indeed, that's the contract. But...if I deny ever forming one in the first place...

I do not suggest that anyone automatically follows what I post in my posts - I'm not a lawyer (though I do have a masters degree in legal studies fwiw, doesn't mean owt:rotfl:) and nothing in this post should be taken as giving any legal advice. See I do know how to boilerplate myself and disclaim things:rotfl:.

These type of glitches are usually 24hrs only, but we are already on day 2 :T

If possible, do an early in-store test shop and put a CC in for same day :money:

It depends on how quickly (or not) they get mbuys onto products showing on a.com. And the glitch even appears to have got better, in that some flavours that weren't getting the T mbuy before now are. (Just like I said could happen:D:p:rotfl::rotfl:.)

But remember...there may also be some hope, from an unexpected source...it seems to me likely that the updating on mbuys onto a.com will be done by members of staff, and that staff are very likely to be neurotypical... and therefore not to do a complete job:D:rotfl::rotfl:.

It's like those SELs in M - sometimes they don't put the new prices onto every one of the range! (:mad::(:p:mad::(:(:( as far as I'm concerned there:rotfl::rotfl:.)

I'm sure they'll omit things/not get to doing everything on every product/not have time to do so/want to talk with their mates and dog in the office around them rather than doing a full concentration throughout the day on a whole day of work. It's just...normal people for you!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Actually, tonight, I sort of - I go to the pub for a meal with someone else from my house (I suspect they're probably on the spectrum too - it can run through parts of families, as there is believed to be some genetic link) and we just sit at the table and don't really say much at all to each other throughout the evening (because we've not really got owt to say:rotfl:) and thing I noticed tonight - the people at all the tables around me - they're just right chatterboxes aren't they? That's all they do! I don't think I heard a single thing that would have changed or affected anyone's life (though I wasn't really listening through most of the time - just noticed it occasionally). Just chat (nothing wrong with that;)) of absolutely no consequence or any real 'worth' at all. It'll be more interesting to read through a list of Morrisons prices:rotfl::rotfl:. Just produces nothing of any use whatsoever. Whereas an M price list - at least it's got some use, in some circumstances even if in a limited context!:D:rotfl::T

Actually the one thing that may be good regarding M. Could I even say, tentatively, that the Princes juices might even work this time:eek: (i.e. after this update - need to wait for Wednesday prices to be in the system as I don't know what the situation in M looked like on Monday).

Today I have a hat-trick of three out of three stores all showing the 2 for £1 mbuy. Obviously that situation could be different elsewhere but, if it is representative what I see in my stores and suggests that Ms generally might have this now, then I think it stands a better chance from today's situation.

You'd need to ensure you bought in even numbers (and that includes not exceeding 10 of any flavour and ending up with an odd number, somehow, on a comp. - possible I suppose, as someone could have bought 11 of one flavour and 1 other version). The M deal is £1.32 or any 2 for £1.00. So you certainly don't want odd numbers, in M or A appearing on a comp. (I have had a slight wonder at whether the nature of such a deal - namely more expensive for one than getting two under the mbuy would be - would cause the APG an issue though. Meaning it does not get the right pricing:(. However, it is the actual pricing in M and, if the bizarre nature of it has caused the collectors some thought to go and check and make absolutely sure, surely they have now had time to do so and on their checking would now have confirmed it you would have thought? You would have thought - maybe not though:rotfl:, nothing can be sure!)

Note however that for example Eday Essentials Orange Juice (1L) is 49p in Aldi - and you only have to buy one. So, why bother with Princes x2 and pay a penny extra on each one to M? However, if APG worked, it would be very slightly cheaper per carton than the Eday version in Aldi. Of course way many people would say that Princes was far better quality than a value range:rotfl:.

Going by what I have seen now in my Ms, although mix and match is always riskier - even if you have two versions in your basket you are then requiring two versions both to pick up the same mbuy as opposed to one version only you are asking for that one version to pick up the mbuy - it might be the case some mixes and matches with the Princes in A might even work. It is clear to me, from the way in which the SELs look, the offer is across all flavours. It might even be the case that all the various mixes and matches get picked up. I wouldn't have thought it was as problematic as Mullers on '10 for....':rotfl:. (Obviously at other times - we have not got anything as good as that on them in M at the moment.)

Famous last words on everything in this post:rotfl::rotfl:. Of course I cannot guarantee anything at all. It's merely that, it looks to me, it will now (i.e. maybe on the next update) stand a better chance of working.

Before I turn in for the night, Has anyone actually had problems using a higher value apg? I usually keep under £10 if convenience (I prefer £9.xx) as doesn't need SV override on new system etc, but have never had a problem with vouchers up to about £18 which is the highest I've used.

Occasionally I've had comment that the value is high compared to the expenditure but that doesn't seem related to the actual voucher value at all.

I've bought champagne that was cheaper in Sains and gave £15+ and the sa didn't bat an eyelid (one off so very small sample size!).

Maybe I'm being overly cautious , what's the worst that could happen? they check the details and it's all above board :o.

Goodnight all :hello: see you all in apg jail tomorrow :rotfl:
