Unfortunately for me I saw the sign but there were none left (and I was in Sainsbob at 9am):(

    However I did find the following RTC;
Merchant Gourmet Chestnut Puree for 20p
    Tilda white/brown rice for 20p
More of the JS Creme Brulee Kits for 20p
Birds Eye Chicken (Korma or Chilli) for 41p
Cadburys Marvellous Ice Cream Tubs for 83p
    Magnum Pistachio for 81p

The ice creams weren't particularly cheap but I couldn't resist! :T

Well done poppea the early bird catches the worm. :T

I could have really done with the rice but didn't see it RTC I did walk up and down every aisle in my bigger store today aswell. But I was not there early as DD2 had a hospital appointment so didn't get to town until lunchtime. :(

I still have chestnut puree leftover when it was 1p in Ts one year. :rotfl: All the whole ones got used though. :D

I should have mentioned that tuna last week as I thought it might go down further as it had a SALE SEL in my store. I don't remember seeing it today though.

And I would get shot if I bought any crème brulee kits they were one of my first bargains from MSE I bought a few along with panna cotta from Ts. I dare not look at the date. Think back then I thought 40p was cheap. :rotfl:

Wow 1p for tinned Chestnuts. I've often seen people posting about their 1p Tesco finds but I've never been lucky other than once when I found a packet of cheese sauce which didn't taste that great!

I noticed on CheckoutSmart they had 50p off a bag of chestnuts today but where I live you can pick so many up for free in the parks. The area is littered with them! I'm always shocked when I see people buying them round here.

I spent yesterday cooking a big batch and my fingers are so painful. Trying to get the skins off is murder. Anyone got any good tips?

They were finest chestnuts too in jars. :D I just kept buying more and more as they kept restocking my store I was really lucky. I know I kept at least 30 jars have no idea how many I gave away. Mr TS would roast them with spices for a warming Saturday night nibble. And the number of Christmases we made chestnut stuffing, I was sad when the last jar went.....

Might have even been my first 1p find. Not that I was OP I mean that I actually found instore.

Its funny how you always remember your first 1p find instore..mine were goldenballs, and headphones in the same trip....

I remember chucking them all through the SS till then trying to obscure the till receipt so the assistant would remove the security tags on the headphones.

We still have 3 pairs of headphones unopened, but sadly no goldenballs left

    Happy memories!
