  • Tweets I took my mum and dad out today so it was the longest he has been on his own in the two months he has lived with us and he had been sick when I got home :(

I have had a cancellation email for the second lot of fizz 2 x£5.99
But the first order says despatched so I hope it is 10 bottles.

Savvy - so sorry to hear about your wing mirror. Had similar happen to me. Main road was closed because of accident so people were using back lanes. Someone in a mini had no intention of slowing down to let me pass and broke wing mirror. Got a replacement off ebay which oh managed to put on but it was tricky even though he worked in a garage. Went to work for nothing that day! Think though savvy if you did not money save it would be even worse!
Truly madly - you can have a free coffee just by asking for one at customer service giving them your card. If you want to sit down in the cafe the cheapest way to have a drink is buy banana which costs 25p or ask for a large

drink which costs a bit extra 20p I think but this also works. HTH

You can just upgrade your drink size ( that counts as a purchase ) or buy a mini jar jam (35p ) or a banana (25p).

Free Daily Mail, telegraph, Guardian or Times when you spend £5.00 ( cost of paper included in the £5.00 )- £10 min spend Sat and Sun.

You pick 10 items as favourites and register them then get 20% off everytime you buy.

Gin 10% off with my Waitrose card

Not sure about the rice coupon

A lot of essentials like loo paper and washing liquid compare very well to other supermarkets and with the 20% can sometimes beat them

Our store opened about 19 months ago and up to 6 months ago they even gave multi buys on reduced products. One day i had over 40 items in my basket and only paid £1.40. On first name terms with a lot of the assistants in mine. I even bought a new upright freezer on the strength of the store opening and its groaning with food.

Thank you so much.......I'm just on choosing favourites:)

Some stores have a self serve coffee machine which is free with no minimum spend. In my store you can ask for a coffee at a manned till and they ring it up for you and give you a cup

To get a paper free you need to "spend" £5 but the paper and coffee count as £2.75 of that £5.

If you haven't got the most recent magazine you can get that free too (and it counts as another £1.20 of the £5)

You realise you could get 11 and still have change left over?

Oh booger, me and my maths
I've just got back from a mammoth 2 hour round trip to my daughters school as when I took her back yesterday after half term she had forgotten her school shoes. May have been cheaper to send them myhermes but she wouldn't have got them till the end of the week and she has already had to wear luminous pink and black trainers today.
Oh well, just got her what she ordered so she should be happy, anyone want to sit my maths exam in 3 weeks? I need to get 100% maybe winging it slightly.

That's fine. My question was a rhetorical question:rotfl::rotfl:. I did think 'maybe they were bought just because they were liked' and therefore I didn't say that they were a mistake.:)
    I think a happy mistake.
But not as happy as the vodka mistake.

Be VERY careful of the Smirnoff ! Its lovely and very 'morish' - which is how ended up disgracing myself a few weeks ago in front of my grandaughter and her boyfriend. Ended up having to be picked up off the bathroom floor and put to bed after having a long and close encounter with the lavatory pan ie head down the pan. Spent the following 2 days in bed unable to stand up safely - but its wonderful for losing weight !
    Aww poor you.
It was lovely, I drank half of it at a party on Saturday, then checked the calories, gulp, oops. But it was very nice at the time.
And no hangover, try eating a pear next time, a fresh pear before you start drinking works wonders.

Just so unbelievably sad how did we the customers become so fussy on the size of our parsnips.

Somehow I don't think we did...........
