Well, I did ring a few places (small number unfortunately because it was late) about a new car mirror (and casing) and they didn't have them - one of them turned out to be a company fleet only supplier (I was just working down a list) - they gave me the number of someone else to ring tomorrow but did add that they probably wouldn't have want I needed. I've now spoken to a member of my family (where have they been all day? why are they never available when you want them?:rotfl: - no, been trying roughly every hour for the past three hours and phone just ringing out - but they are now there and have finally managed to speak to them) and they think I probably won't be able to get a replacement because of the type of fit.
It'll be very difficult to put on, they tell me - they usually do help me with things so I don't think they are making an excuse. So, it's typical: why does my car always require these expensive replacements?!?:mad: (It's the same with the doors - I've had them damaged a couple of times over the years - completely separate as I used to live elsewhere and last time, actually it was here - a woman outside crashed into my car - fortunately she was a good person and did leave me a note (that sort of thing "never happens" does it?) - but £500 each time - insurance job. Then it just puts up the cost of insurance:(. In fact, her damage, by her, outside my house, when my car was parked on the road stationary - I wasn't even in it at the time or anywhere near it in fact - put up the cost of my insurance by about £60:(. Always the way. I did have a very bad year with the car once, but... well, touch wood, at least we've got through to November this year without anything happening so what else could possibly go wrong?)
So, I think it's back to plan A. Back to the dealer with the £260:eek: cost (_pale_). I will try the other guy - and some other places - tomorrow. I know, I ought to save money - it's not my money-saving area unfortunately - I deal with :(low-value groceries instead!! It's booked in for Wednesday anyway and at least it will get sorted out simpler.0 -

But not even Friday:(. Sadly it's not - I even tried to do some things like moving forwards to the current time in New Zealand and Australia (think that might be going back:() and couldn't even make it much better there! Sorry - we'll just have to wait for the rest of the week. Or book Wednesday onwards off work if anyone working is lucky enough to be able to do that!:rotfl:0 -
