I got a mix of 10 schwartz spice jars for £16.50 in S today

Gave me my expected £6.50 BM and £7.50 CB with COS/CS so cost just £2.50 (and generated a £2 off £20 that i'll use next time around) :money:

I wombled what looked like a BM voucher but it's not. It says it's for exclusive use with a particular nectar card and rather than "your shopping would have been cheaper" it says "congratulations, you've done it"

Done what?!?!?! Anyone seen or earned one of these before? Do you think it's a "shop X times and get £Y off your next shop"?

:(:( My Father has lost the use of his legs last night :(:(

Awaiting Dr who is calling after 12pm.

Why they couldn't tell Drs it was an emergency I don't understand but they know best.

The first time it happened was in 2001 & he learned to walk but very unsteady & slow.

This year was the year of him getting his own car that he can drive with hand controls & he has been literally whizzing around the country with his new found freedom.

Tomorrow my Parents were going to Center Parc Sherwood Forest for a friend's birthday weekend.

Poor Mum - I've offered to go down but she says no....
    Will wait & see :)

AAU...I might know the answer or at least have a reason....
Afew weeks ago I was sent some conditional spend vouchers for S...giving £2.25 off a shop when you spend £15 over 4 weeks running 27/9 until 24/10....one voucher per week with the added 500 bonus nectar points when all 4 coupons have been used...

The 500 points I think are the congratulations you've done it.

it does say on the voucher exclusive to me and my nectar card.

Sadly I never used them as S is now out of my shopping area

Some 'housekeeping' for me to do on here. Lidl, Iceland and Aldi:rotfl:. (Aldi will be in my next post.)

In Lidl, the Lean Turkey Mince (450g) is to be 89p this weekend. Don't be getting the Toffee Apples though, at 59p, as they are 2 for £1 in M. Unless my Lidl has taken to not showing multibuys like my Ms sometimes do. I didn't mention the LM Veg Sausages last time - they were £1 but have now gone up to £1.25. So a public service information about Lidl's price increase:rotfl:. Previous £1 for just 300g of veg. sausages is now not good enough:eek:. Lidl also have frozen Roast Beef Dinners (and Roast Chicken) 400g at £1.39, although A on its 375g vs T should work out cheaper if it continues to compare against T.

Iceland. For the 'one pint club', that are always overpaying on their milk, Iceland have the 1pint milk at 25p (and 2pint at 50p). Still works out at £1 for 4pints though, so it's still a bit of an overpayment instead of the 4pint milks at 89p in Aldi, Asda, Lidl and Morrisons.

The Hollands Pies are back at 50p in M. If you can find them, they should work out cheaper than the individual own brand pies as those are 150g whereas the Hollands are weightier. Assuming all is well on any comparison - they did compare a few weeks ago on the APG and now no need to get mulitbuy. However, I've gone for the Birds Eye 4 pack Steak Pies in Iceland at £1.50. That offer has been on for a while, and surely must be near ending, but currently they work out better (due to higher weight) than the own brand Iceland Steak Pies that are regularly £1.50. As regards Chicken Pies, cheaper Chicken Pies are available elsewhere than the Birds Eye ones.

Also Brains 6 pack Faggots are at straight 87p in Iceland at the moment. That's just straight price - lose any 10% as opposed to waiting for M to go back to 87p and Avs M. (They are not 87p in M at the moment.) And Iceland's 600ml Rocket Lollies at continued regular £1 work out better than the smaller packs available in the major supermarkets.

    Thanks

This is a "congratulations you've done it, here's £6 :j off your next shop"

No conditional spend, just a straight £6. Hopefully it scans without the quoted nectar card. If SA is paying attention and asks for it I could try the old "it's not on me".....

I'm pleased that Aldi hasn't got any Satsumas on offer:rotfl:. They do have some "Funsize" apples packs back at 59p - no longer the 49ps that we saw in the past - but 59p is very helpful:T. I was thinking whether to buy two packs of Cox Apples at T yesterday instead of just one, but I decided I'd just end up paying them twice as much whereas the whole point is to leave with a sub-£1 pack of apples. I was hoping for some lower priced apples elsewhere. I'm now satisfied that I bought just one pack of Cox from T. So I paid them 69p - 10p more but we always need a variety of different apples. The Aldi "Funsize" ones will come in useful on my next Aldi trip (not due for another week) and in the meantime I can have the M Satsumas. So, all sorted! But are there any Potatoes on offer anywhere?:mad::rotfl:

Aldi also have 200g Kale at 59p. However, that's too dear(:rotfl:) given that T were 50p for 200g Kale a few years ago and that itself may have worked out more expensive than some much larger pack from Waitrose:eek:. Possibly not. (Besides - why would you pay 59p for just 200g of cabbage when you could have had a Savoy Cabbage yesterday, that all told is probably quite a lot more than 200g, for 39p?)

Not even going for just 59p:rotfl:. I even managed to stop myself buying any 6 pack Fruit Teacakes at M yesterday that had gone to whoopsie 15p. Yet I have bought other ones at straight 50p before now:eek:. I decided that it was 15p more than I would otherwise have spent, so I didn't bother. Perhaps the price of the 50p ones from a while back will now cover for that:rotfl:.

My total shopping at T yesterday came to £1.54:eek: - it's funny how these things add up:(. However, I would have paid even more if I had picked up a pack of T Satsumas instead of the rest of my shopping.

morning all help required re. car insurance Just had a renewal quote £120 more than last year. I think I know why I was involved in a minor accident back in January Not my fault ( claim settled ) I have tried to get quotes from a couple of other companies and they want anything from £150 to £400 extra. now this is when I want some advise on filling in the form Do I put the max. 9 years no claim or do I have to put in 0 years no claim due to my blameless accidet The real Question is why should a person who was not at fault have to pay for someone elses fault
