I can see a whole new raft of compliance checks on the way...!0

I'm sure a lot of people will be jumping up and possible down with delight but the fact remains that the chancellor will have his day but making cuts in other areas to balance the books. So I would not get too excited yet people.
The Government's problem is that there's little legislative time to make any changes.
But I'm sure HM Treasury will come forward with alternative proposals they've had in reserve [even though even 6 hours ago, they denied there being any alternative!]Please be polite to OPs and remember this is a site for Claimants and Appellants to seek redress against their bank, ex-boss or retailer. If they wanted morality or the view of the IoD or Bank they'd ask them.0 -

I do not get this benefit so have no personal axe to grind but my own view is that the government will have their pound of flesh from a benefit somewhere, whether it is from the arm or the thigh, rightly or wrongly, necessary or not."Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety". - Benjamin Franklin0 -

Of course the Gov't withdraw any Whip against, as they'd already lost in the Lords and would have done so again in the Commons. Please be polite to OPs and remember this is a site for Claimants and Appellants to seek redress against their bank, ex-boss or retailer.
