Hi Pops
Glad you took the plunge to update your signature also.
I am actually finding that it helps to see it there in front of your eyes. I keep looking at mine and will be looking forward to crossing out and putting the new totals, however little it comes down. :T
You can tell you have had a shift in attitude compared to when you first posted. keep going
I made a cheeky £3.08 extra payment to CC and updated my target card total lol. It felt good even though it was a small amount.

Thanks Hun, my signature doesn't seem to be showing properly thoughI'm on my phone so think need to be on a laptop to see it maybe? It shows half of it if I go on the desk top version.
Well done on your over payment! Doesn't matter how little, it'll soon mount up!
I was laughing yesterday at my bank balance my bank will be wondering what's going on!!! Bet they're thinking is she okay? Ha!0 -
Being in the black before your pay comes in is brilliant.
Well done. And knowing exactly when bills are coming in really helps you feel in control. You are doing amazingly well. Unexpected things will crop up, DS1&2 have hit me with £100 of school related trip/scout camp stuff this week, but as I know exactly what is going out and coming in, I can do this.
I was told by a good friend, that checking your bank account daily was some form of mental illness or OCD (how rude, thought I!!!. Well I can cope with control freakism over money.
Might be why she has no money at the end of the month and I know down to the last £ what I have left (and sometimes it is £1!)

Agree with the above post, I check my balance everyday and don't think its crazy. Years ago I just spent willy nilly and ended up in a mess thinking will it ever stop. Five years later I have a black bank account instead of red, only spend when I need to and am happy with no money worries, all because I started to do what you are now doing. Keep up the good work, it is hard but worth it in the end.
Now excuse me whilst I check my bank balance. :)x:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000 -
Hiya Pops
Are you looking to progress up the ladder in your current workplace or are you looking to go elsewhere?
Have you got anything in the pipeline at the moment job hunting wise?

Hi popstess, just popping in to say I am still following your thread, I'm really proud of you. You don't even sound like the same person now compared to your first post.
Oh, and it definitely is perfectly normal to check your bank account every day, I do it too! Like someone else said, we all know to the penny where we are financially, those who accuse us of being OCD, well, I wonder how their finances are?!!!Co-op loan: £2672.38. £2886.64 / £5559.02

I too check my accounts daily, more on pay days etc.
I would rather that than log in once a week for example and find I had missed something
