all settings , system to start with , then look thru the others to remove stuff you do not want , win 10 still thinks its for a mobile/tablet/pc/laptop and loads everything ,
also theck the updates regularly for a few days , for better drivers etc being installed0 -
I'm currently in Privacy.
One option is "Let apps use my advertising ID for experiences across apps".
However, in brackets, it says "Turning this off will reset your ID".
What does it mean by "reset you ID", and should I be concerned about resetting it?0 -
do you want targeting with junk , turn it off , also camera etc , and in the updates section /advanced /choose how updates are delivered , turn off allowing people to update from you0

I can't see much difference from Windows 8.1
Did you have Classic Shell on W8.1? You've been trying to make it look like 7 all this time then, hence the lack of difference. Have a look at the start menu.NOW DOWNLOAD CLASSIC SHELL0 -
I was running Win 10 until a couple of days ago when I came under some kind of malware attack. My Norton antivirus was disabled and made unworkable and I got numerous pop-ups (and video) telling me to phone up this number so "they" could tell me how to fix the problem.
So back to Windows 7 and I must say it is nice and peaceable now. The old saying "if it ain't broke don't fix it" springs to mind.
I gave Win 10 a good shot but it hasn't really done much for me. I can see that for someone who goes the full Monty with computers and gadgets and likes social networking and stuff then Win 10 might enhance their lives. But for a simple surfer like myself, it offers nothing over Windows 7. I have still got the copy of Windows 10 and I will have another look at it. But I cannot see the point in getting emotionally involved with an operating system (which seems to be the case with some). To me, it is just another tool.0
