  • Hi there

I had loads last year.. i put them in a roasting tin , drizzled over some olive oil and some rock salt, and put them in the oven to roast...then i put them in the blender, and froze it in bags... was great for making pasta dishes, pizzas, chilli, etc.. if you do that, you can add the garlic etc as you would do normally when you make your meals...dead quick and dead easy..and very tasty

This is exactly what I'd do, but if I had the tomatoes, I'd blend in the leaves of the rather sad basil plant which is still languishing on my kitchen windowsill, waiting for summer to start !

I have a fridge full of tomatos, from my own plants & others. They will not last much longer unless I freeze them. Whats the best way? They are all quite large & not particularly red.

I've just bought a box of fresh tomatoes and they only cost me £2 so I couldnt really so no:D I'm planning to make some pasta sauce and pizza topping.Any ideas what I could do with the rest as I have quite a few salad tomatoes in the fridge.Otherwise I'll just end up pureeing and freezing them

    Hiya :)

I've just added your post to an earlier thread that is filled with good ideas. You'll need to read from the beginning to catch up.

    Good luck :)

  • Hi
I planted some tiny little tomato plants a few months back. it's the first time I've tried it and now I've got more tomatoes than I know what to do with!

They taste delicious, but although my husband and I eat them every day with our lunches, we've still got loads. Please can anyone give us any quick and easy recipies we could do to maybe freeze or something, so we can enjoy the benefits of the tomatoes in the weeks to come rather than die of tomatoe poisoning now? A lot of them are the tiny cherry toms, so it would be good if you had any ideas which didn't involve skinning them.
    Thanks
