Sorry you are feeling down Rosy. Sometimes I find Sundays a bit like that. It's still the weekend but you know work is the next day so it feels a bit bittersweet?
LegoMum- hope the cake turns out well!

Morning DFW-Ninjas,
OH and I went to the theatre last night to see a comedian called Craig Hill. (Link) We found him to be hilarious. Great night. Spent £2.95 on drinks and munchies to smuggle into the theatre saving about £7 on theatre prices. Then came home and made chips and drank our own alcohol.
Today is grocery shopping. Yawn! And, this is the third time we've been shopping this weekend. We definitely don't do this very often.
Switching back to nightshift from tonight. Gulp! This is my first shift in charge without colleague backup. I know I can do it but I'm nervous about the prospect. My manager believes in me, but, as yet, I don't believe in me. Wish me luck...
Debt-Free Nillionaire Month 5:
* Do GfK Surveys.
* Check remaining Broadband allowance.
* Look to see if i-Say £20 e-voucher has appeared yet.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning All
I was so lazy yesterday...we sat and watched Dr Who pretty much all day.
We are going to get things done today though.
I have already cleaned the kitchen, done the dishes and put some washing on. I need to still do:
-Take boys for a walk
-Encourage youngest son to do homework
-Baking (vegan choc chip cookies, cinnamon rolls)]
-Hoover and mop downstairs
-Hoover upstairs
-Clean bathroom
-Washing out on line
Have a great day everyone!0 -
Morning guys  I've been up since 6 and out in the garden since 7.45
I've cleaned out the greenhouse and 50% cleaned the inside (glass & frame), sanded down flaking paint off off shelved and partially dug over a bed. It's over grown with shrubs but I would like it to be a veg patch next year
I decided yesterday I'm going to spend an hour a day (at least) clearing/sorting my garden ready to be more productive next year.
Small things for today:
* all meals from stores - trying to run freezer/larder down
* list some items on fleabay
* make a post of freecycle for a garden fork - ours has just died while oh was trying to get the root of a shrub out
* read up for ms assignments this week
* go out for a walk & to feed the ducks later to stop dgd getting cabin fever
* NSD? Hopefully....
* go through fridge/larder & make sure nothing's about to perish and incorporate into meals for the next few days...
Think that's all I need to do today.DF as at 30/12/16

Morning all,
Didn't really achieve much yesterday other than hovering, doing a load of washing and going out for a friend's birthday. I bought pudding for that so it wasn't a NSD. Today will be though!
All meals from stores today. Bacon and tomato sarnies on homemade bread for lunch
Started the managing money Open University free online course - I've found the first week really interesting!
Banking checked and spreadsheet updated
FPL and surveys to do
Bathroom to clean
Hallway to paint - going to start this after I've posted on here!
We have poochy this weekend so taking her for nice walks
Ironing to do when washing is dry
Pair of boots to polish
We've made a couple of decisions re. wedding planning. I'll be travelling to the ceremony in the vintage bus we've hired for our guests. This will save about £300 on hiring a separate posh car. We're also going to make our cake/ cupcakes ourselves (lemon drizzle flavour). Luckily OH is a much better cook than I am!
I'm only at work Monday and Friday next week as my parents are visiting. I've got their Christmas card to write out and give to them to save on postage! I've also got some spare Christmas decorations I'm going to give to Mam (whether she likes them or not! :rotfl:). I've got a couple of spare fitted sheets she can have too, rather than chuck them. We just have to figure out how we're going to entertain them cheaply while they're here!

Spent the weekend continuing with my clear-out. I sold some old Levis jeggings I never wore (unwanted gift!) for £5 on ebay and a Louis Vuitton paper shopping bag for £4.00! Just finding as many things to get rid off and put up on ebay.0

Hi Sunday Savers,
Am all by myself (just like the song) today as mr f has had to work, though I've been told he may possibly be bringing home free cake, so I'm putting a brave face on it, lol.
Today's money-saving activity:
*Did a couple of surveys & a couple of small projects for the brand online forum I'm on at the moment. They pay in £5 Amazon vouchers. I've done quite well with them, so will continue while I can.
*Marinated one of the ys pork fillets we got in a Waitrose 'reduced fridge items' haul recently. Decided to go for an oriental vibe, so used soy sauce, chilles, garlic, ginger, 5-spice, honey etc. Will roast later & serve with home-made egg-fried veggie rice which will contain all the stuff which needs using up.
*Turned 3lbs of pears into pear, lemon & ginger compote. Some to eat today & 4 containers for the freezer. mr f ate 5 pears last night, so we've got to the end of a bucket-load, but haven't picked up today's or yesterday's offerings yet.
*Update grocery budget. £13 under budget this week so far.
*Put right some money-swaps to keep other budgets & Savings Piggies accurate.
*Make tomorrow's packed lunch & work snacks.
*Get out Presents Box to remind myself what we've already bought over the year. Make list of what we still need to buy.
*Write birthday cards for end of Oct & November birthdays (all cards from stash & already have stamps).
*Update diary & calendar with a few (free or low-spend) events we'd like to attend this autumn/winter. Being very organised always saves me money.
OK, time to crack on with some lunch.
