3G sims in 2G phones.

Hi, Apologies if this is a stupid question, but does anyone have experience of using a 3G sim in a 2G phone? I want to know if it works (I appreciate that 3G functions won't work) or does the phone not accept a 3G sim? I've noticed the size of the sim are the same... The reason I'm asking is that I'm thinking of…

Sorry but im afraid you are wrong.

Im using my 3 contract sim card in an unlocked Sony Ericsson K750i while my k800i is away for repair.
