I've just moved this over from another thread where I stated that Capital to Coast sent me a letter even though the thread said they would not be able to get it as they are have no access to the DVLA.

It is possible, but we need a lot more information than you have given us here to determine whether something dodgy is going on.
Please let us know what happened and when. Whether you got a windscreen ticket and when the NTK arrived.
This assumes you have read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES at the top of the page first.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Also where. Work, housing estate, condo etc. There are other ways of getting addys without dvla.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

What other thread?

This company appears to have a problem with v.a.t.
If, as they may claim, this is contractual charge, it is a fee for parking, and thus vatable. Have they accounted for vat on their paper work? If not it becomes a breach of contract. No vat is payable but it can only be sufficient to compensate them for losses arisingfrom the breach, i.e., no staff uniforms, N.I. contributions, no electricity, business rates etc., a GPEOL in fact. In many cases this loss amounts to nil.
Ask then for a vat invoice. If they ignore your request, (which they probably will), it is a useful stick with which to beat them if it ever gets to court. You could argue ex turpis causa.

Great Thanks. my previous post was on a thread called 'Capital to Coast FCN', that someone else started.
I managed to get this ticket at a car park outside a supermarket and other stores. I believe it's not the supermarkets car park but rather a communal one for all the shops. It only had the ability to pay by cash coins, and I had to go off and get change to do so. the first two traders would not give me change so I walked further to a bank. When I returned about ten minutes later there was a guy putting the ticket on the car. The Windscreen ticket is dated 12/09/15 and the FCN arrived today with a date of 12/10/15.
I read a previous thread on Capital to Coast and read they could not get my address, so I kept it but ignored it, as the thread said they would not be able to get my details form the DVLA.
It looks like on the other thread that the actual company is One Parking LTD who are IPC members, so that would explain them getting my details.
the Charge is now £80, £40 if I pay within 14 days. no mention of VAT.
The question is what is the approach now.0 -
So asking for the VAT invoice seems to be the best approach?0

To the OP. The data on that link freddy's provided is out of date with respect to their ATA membership and ability to get DVLA data.
However the point he's drawing your attention to is the line at the bottom showing their court activity (or lack of it, in this case).Je Suis Cecil.0
