how times have changed, a couple of years ago 3 where bottom of the pile in every survey conducted, now out of what are considered to be the big boys they are top of the pile!!Take every day as it comes!!0

I cant believe GG was top in both polls especially the coverage, how can an MVNO eg Tesco Mobile have better coverage than 02. I was under the impression Three had the best coverage.0

Clearly flawed as with many so called "customer opinion polls"
As others have mentioned I also stuggle with the concept of an MVNO offering "better" coverage than the MNO on which it runs. How does that work ?
I also stuggle with concept of an MVNO offering better data or call performance than the MNO given MVNO's typically operate within a limited bandwidth and lower priority compared to MNO direct. Contract or PAYG may also be a priority factor.
This is the problem with subjective opinion surveys that lack any type of objective comparison and are just something to create site tarffic or support marketing.
Just because 79 out 100 people "think" the moon is made of cheese doesn't make it so.0 -

Both polls are without a doubt flawed. Giffgaff have data speeds that make dial up look fast. Anyone reading the poll should read around the net first, EE almost certainly have the best data along with '3', although EE customer service should be fined another £1million on top of their other fine, terrible.

i left O2 back in july 2013 because their reception was rubbish in the area i live plus were i work. plus their customer service was terrible too. They kept saying it was my old phone that was the problem not their network.
i tried giff gaff and immediately found that reception was ton's better.
i also tried tesco mobile (who also piggy back O2) and that was just as good.
both of these where payg sims in my old phone.
off that back of that i got my dad, sister and wife to all try the same as they were with O2 also.
all with the same results.
so how is that impossible?
Backhaul ? voice is transmitted as data, o2 may have different backhaul servers for their MVNO's Tesco and GG, o2's may be saturated with millions upon millions whilst the latter two arent.
Sim cards ? did you have o2 replace all the sims cards first ?
I've had issues with 3G although it was a old 2G sim, data was not consistent nor voice.
From handset to base station your signal is the same in the same handset in the same millimetre of space/place from there onwards its anyones guess how o2 prioritises its own traffic, its own MVNOs or third party MVNO's.
You can have no data issues with EE, but a EE reseller may have issues as when data hits EE home server (or before) it can be redirected by your MVNO wherever its server lies, that could be in AU depending on set up.

its all about how the telco MVNO or otherwise set up behind the scenes.
T-Mobile network (the old one) provide EE 4G before the old Orange which EE did not sell off are the ones were being upgraded to 4G, most EE base station were upgraded, even 2G as most of it was 30+ years old between Orange and T-Mobile.
I have a old Orange signal at home and even with upgraded T-Mobile base station also stronger with 4G/3G and 2G the 2G breaks up in calls, the Orange 2G comes and goes. BUT the intermittent Orange signal is clear on 2G more than the stable T-Mobile signal, same as on my Virgin sim.
I have Orange and use a Blackberry for UMA calls at home as the 2G Orange or T-Mobile base stations cant cover my calls, 3G is great for data, 4G is there but not strong enough to penetrate my apartment.
My Virgin internet is faster than my Orange sim as the server is passed to Virgin Media, who have far more server capacity than EE (EE buy backhaul data transport from VM to their own EE server, Virgin mobile pass their internet to Virgin Media server as its cheaper to use inhouse than EE servers)
A signal is one thing, voice and data backhaul is quite another matter though.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -

You have to be joking. I and my wife both had to leave them. If the community cant help and you do have to contact the team they refer you back to the community for help.The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0
