l have heard that if anyone finds a debit or credit card they can get a reward from the bank concerned. maybe you should try to negotiate some kind of reward through a 3rd party, at least charge the bank admin etc for your time and troubleand of course honesty.....just a thought

This is partially true

Normally a merchant can get a reward from the issuer for returning a card which the bank has requested be picked up and some merchants might pass this on to staff

But say you found one in the street and sent it in, you wouldnt get one

Likewise is a shop just sent loads of cards back they shouldnt have they wouldnt get it

The rewards are only paid were a card the bank has requested be retained is retained and then returned to them in the appropiate manner, a reward is then released for the merchant to use as they see fit
