Have a look at the statement to see where the payment has come from then phone up the bank as its clearly an error.

everyone said i should just keep it there, but i cant do that as i could risk getting into trouble cudnt i?

so ill not bother i havent spent a penny although its been very tempting im going to leave it alone.
  • DON'T spend it, thats technically theft. There was a cracking story in the papers about a similar situation, person spent it and ended up in court.

I'll see if I can find it. - Nope can't find it.

If its still there in a few days, dont spend any of it, but move it into a high interest savings account until they ask for it back, you may as well make some use of their !!!!-up
  • oh my goodness, what have you done then? what have your bank said?
