Posted this on the Piggybacking thread, but in case you haven't been notified yet (I wasn't, I found it by accident when I logged into my account to check something), Mobile by Sainsburys will no longer be available from the middle of January 2016.

Already a thread been posted from yesterday.

Just received a text from Sainsburys.
Reading between the lines on Sainsburys statement , Vodafone refused to renew the contract to Sainsburys.
Unsure what will happen to my £80 in credit.
Vodafone has the only decent signal in my area
I would like a Moneysaving expert to advise which piggyback company will do PAYG without a minimum monthly payment0 -

You are better off discussing this in the existing thread which has much more info.

Thanks
It's been removed/moved. I posted on it but now, in my profile, those posts are not recorded. Good job, MSE.
EDIT:
The thread linked to on the MSE "Front page" story is also showing as invalid. Double good job.0 -

Talk Mobile is the only other MNVO running on Vodafone, so that is your only option if it has to be Voda.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
I suppose a decent amount of notice from Sainsburys. I hardly ever use my mobile apart from the occasional call/text message and reassurance if my car broke down. Sainsburys were good because no need for a monthly outlay and credit never expired (had to make a chargeable call and top up every so often).
A quick trawl of what else suited these needs and ASDA seems to be the only one offering the same. Piggybacked on the EE network. Will have to give ASDA a try.0 -
White Mobile or Delight Mobile also run on EE and are cheaper than ASDA. No PAYG provider expires the credit as long as you make a chargeable call or send a text every 90 days or as required. Credit only expires if you buy a monthly bundle.
ASDA was fine when it ran on Voda, the call centre was very good. I left when it went to EE and the service went rapidly downhill-even the porting to EE was a shambles. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

Worth noting that Talkmobile is actually wholly owned by Vodafone, so it's unlikely to close down (and if it ever did then I'm sure customers would just be transferred onto 'Vodafone proper').0
