A complete farce using the TPS as they are useless, This will work against reputable Companies that call from a genuine number that is shown on your phone and more importantly you can ring back to as opposed to the computer generated random numbers made to look like a local number or mobile number.


As for how the details get out there on very few occasions an insurance Company may put the details through after an accident is reported to a sister Company but they do not sell details on, These are basically stolen to order from all insurance Companies and the likes as it is big business for a select few individuals that then sell these on to various claims Companies.

Honestly, it's the best forty quid we've ever spent. When you pick the handset up it shows you how many calls it's blocked. Very satisfying.

But only of any use of they call on your land line, every call I have had from the parasites has been to my mobile.

I am going to watch tonight on BBC 1 at 8pm Watchdog. As they have something on regarding these sort of calls.
Personally they are a pain. I always ask the caller to inform myself of who they are by name and then the company they are calling from. By asking this they always put the phone down.
