Welcome to the new people posting on here. We really are a fantastic and supportive bunch so just jump right in...
MMM - hope you're feeling better really soon. Try not to stress about the job - you need to focus on getting yourself well again.
Ally - a 50 hour week? Braver than I am...
I am utterly exhausted tonight. I can tell I'm getting tired because I can't seem to get my brain to do more than one thing at a time. I couldn't write and talk at the same time, and I couldn't get the words out of my head that I was thinking. Think I will keep scouring the doctor's appointments in the hope of a cancellation before next Friday.

[STRIKE]:) check banking (no PAD again as no £££)[/STRIKE]

    :) try not to stress
[STRIKE]:) ask for help if I need it[/STRIKE] someone at work has suggested I phone social services and ask for help with me and the kids. I'm thinking about it
    [STRIKE]:) check fpl and luckyphone[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]:) upload this weekends receipts onto COS[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]:) all meals from stores[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]:) aim for nsd[/STRIKE]
Think that's it for now - have a good day everyone :D

A standard week with my employer is 40 hours, but I'm going in on an extra day next week to help a new colleague. At Christmas I'll be expected to do 50+ hours. Gulp! The money'll be nice. I'm also going onto NightShift from Sunday.

You sound tired. Tiredness makes me power-down too. When I get in from work I eat and shower and then I go to bed for 20-40 mins and do a relaxation App with my eyes shut before having my evening. I find that shutting my eyes relieves a day's work of eye-strain and calms me down a bit. I guess even listening to 10 mins of soothing music in the dark might work too...

...Don't get me wrong, this technique isn't a magic cure, but it definitely helps.

Fantastic link, thank you. I have done the assessment and I scored 12 for anxiety so its probably quite accurate. I have suffered with anxiety on and off for years but my GP just wants to give me medication and I think I can manage without it at the moment.

I am going to try the podcast. If only I knew how to worry less!

Been a busy day so I havent had time to spend anything. We have had the heating on a bit tonight though.

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Evening All

I am just doing a late check in. Havent had time to get on before now today. My own small list, all done now of course but:

    1) Check banking, both sets. Now have just 3 more missed payments to clear to HMRC & thats an extra £306 a month from Jan 15th. This thought is getting me through some tight corners.

    2) Logged all spends on spending App.

    3) Transfered CB to main account

    4) Checked with our financial advisor whether we need to add DD to the life & critical illness cover, but apparently she is covered under dependants already. Phew! So many big things to think about like this. And getting will amended if necessary, need to email solicitor about that too. I think we went for 'and any subsequent children' as will wording.

    5) Done lunchboxes for tommorow/laid out sons uniform, its individual photographer pictures at school tommorow so he needs to have a shower in the morning & wash his hair!

    6) Walked all journies

    7) Used cash only

    8) Made banana bread with leftover banana

    9) Paid in a cheque

    10) Kept on top of the general household tasks that make life more bearable, washing/tidying/homework organised & done/talking to OH about key up coming dates.

Not much to report other than that :)

    Night all

    Bob
