  • Yes i have called the bank and the cheque has been cashed at a cheque cashing facility, i am unable to get hold of the people and its a personal cheque from my bank account so no i wont be 'getting the sack' as someone so kindly put.

I am going to have to go through the small claims court.

I am aware that i kept asking the same question but was just trying to get it straight in my head and was not on this site regulary just at quick intervals so maybe i did not read things through properly.

I wll say thought that some of the advice i am grateful for but i am angry and upset at the comments made towards my intelligence.

I did not deserve the comments made towards me

Ok, I'm also confused then. From your original post:

'Its a company cheque from me to a personal bank account'

Jessica, I think you're out of luck if the ebay cheque has been cashed with a cheque cashing facility - was it for a large amount?

I've just read your other post about your problems with 'cash medic'; you certainly seem to have had some bad luck with money!

I'd still ring the bank, because it may still be possible to stop a cheque even after it's been presented / cashed? All those dodgy Nigerians seem to be able to do so after the poor scammed person has THOUGHT the cheque had cleared, so the facility must exist. Shame it's nearly 5pm or I'd ring my own bank to check.
