First day back at work after a week off, so tired now! Plan for the week is to keep taking in pack-ups every day, stick to my grocery plan and up my steps each day.

And not get too stressed and quit... One foot in front of the other until it's the weekend and I can plan my next holiday in the evenings :D

Hope everyone has a lovely week X

Lovely sunny morning here! Only spoilt by my son's load moaning at having to do his homework (back at school tomorrow)... Judging by the lack of loud bangs from upstairs he has now stopped throwing things and is now doing the homework. Hopefully. Not sure if this is a normal reaction to homework? I'm worried and going to speak to school about it as it makes home life awful sometimes. Hopefully they will reassure me or give us some support/coping strategies.

Money wise - loads of housework to do, gardening, meal planning and grocery shop so should keep me away from spending on any little things I don't need... Last week was a bit spendy as bought scales, new brolly, new clothes airer, new top and tbh I could have lived without all those things. Just scary how nipping into town on my lunch break each day can add up to £60ish spent over the week :(

On the plus side I've upped my steps most days (just track them on the Health app on my eyephone) so hoping to start seeing the benefits of this :)

    Happy Sunday everyone xxx
  • Yes, we had homework day today too. Bit stressful.
I have spent the day washing and ironing and making sure everything is ready for the kids going back to school tomorrow :)

Sounds like you're all prepped and ready Happydays, I've been tackling my laundry mountain too, finally caught up after hols :)
  • That sounds just like me when I have schoolwork to do sellotape. :rotfl::rotfl:::rotfl: Seriously though, I think a lot of children respond the same but do speak to the school and see what they say.

Hope you have a good week.

Thanks ETE! Looking forward to the next one now :D

Feeling sort of reassured after speaking to school today, they seem supportive so we will see. I do think schools have come on a lot in pastoral care, mine was awful looking back!

Managed to keep away from the shops today... Mostly. Picked up some cookies for my son so not too spendy. Test will be tomorrow as need to top up groceries and avoid the cheese, wine and chocolate that keeps falling into my basket :rotfl:

Had a letter from the bank today - since my OP I've reduced my mortgage term to 27 years and 7 months! That's just 331 repayments left :j

Just celebrating now with a cheeky biscuit. Hope everyone's having a lovely Eve x

I did something a little different this morning - called up the bank and cancelled my credit card :j

I realised in the week that I'd got into a pattern of spending increasing amounts on it each month which was eating into the money in my savings pots when I came to pay it off each month  now that I've taken away the temptation hopefully I can get back on track. Just so pleased that I've realised that things were slipping and I've caught it in time.

Off for a run in the sunshine to clear my head now X
