I gave up driving my car to work last April. The 3 miles extra I walk per day and the £200 per month saving ( meaning I don't have to work extra) is so worth it. Even on rubbish days it's free exercise. Mind you my children are grown, so less hassle.

A lazy morning browsing MSE has reminded me that I haven't claimed my £75 M&S voucher after switching internet provider! All done now and looking forward to treating myself to a few dine in for £10's :j

Not much else planned for today, just housework and browsing holidays online :D x
  • Nom, nom, nom. Love the dine in for £10's. Enjoy. :)

It's been a manic week at work after the bank hol weekend, feels like my head is spinning! If I'm still in the same place next year I might ask if I can work one of the days instead of trying to cram Friday and Mondays work into a four day week...

There is also the possibility that it's just my general level of disorganisation and chaos causing me to get behind so if anyone has any tips for time management and chunking time please pass them on :D

Just relaxing with a glass of wine now. Not very MSE, should have had a lime and soda :rotfl::beer:

    Saturday Jobs
    • Feel pleased with myself for making the first OP of the year - £255
    • Ignore my plans to join a gym that I won't go to and have a run in the sunshine instead
    • Catch up on housework and laundry after being on hols for a week
    • Tackle the jungle outside
    • Tot up all my receipts for March
    • Re-visit my budget - a few changes needed (tax credits reduced, my sons clothes costing a lot more than expected, secondary school trips a lot more expensive than budgeted for, got rid of car etc)
    • Meal plan and grocery challenge - work's been tiring and take aways have been sneaking in, noticed this in my waistline and wallet
    • need to look at my savings - emergency fund isn't generating much interest in an ISA account, I'm sure this could work harder for me but don't want it locked away as I have no partner so it's my only back up. Might ask for advice on the investments board.
    • Dream about next holiday :)
