Very brave! Let us know how you get on without it. I am the same and start using my card towards the end of each month.

Thanks Clarey! It's been ok so far, on the plus side I'm too paranoid to use my debit card online so it's keeping me away from splurgy treats :A

Had my first payslip of the tax year and it looks like I'll be £6.50 better off each month. After bouncing off to the OP calculator to see what difference it would make to OP it I've been brought back down to earth by realising tax credits have been reduced by double that each week. Will have to have a bit of a budget jiggle at the weekend x

Countdown to payday tomorrow! And next week I'll be able to make another OP :D

Work was awful today, I'll probably be up until midnight tonight catching up. Ah well - I've got wine, cheese, crackers and pickle to see me through so could be a lot worse.

Had an email about another role today - I'm really tempted but it's only 1k more, doesn't seem like enough to jump ship...

One of your strength is, you want to learn from mistake you have made in the past. Keep inform the forum how you are getting on.

This is also inspiration for other people in this forum who can not avoid temptation and control their expenditure..

Thank you adindas for the kind feedback :)

I've been paid today but it's going to be a tight month as I'm adjusting to not putting all purchases on the cash back credit card... I'm going to revise budget over the bank hol weekend and see where I am.

It all sounds a bit sensible so I'm off to a comedy night with friends this Eve for some much needed laughs :D

Have a lovely Friday all x

Some of it :D wish I was more motivated to tidy and garden but seem to spend most of the weekend just recovering from work.... I did have a lovely girlie chat with my stepmum about dating so no. 8 is still pending :rotfl:

Morning MFWers! Just a quiet day here lounging about on my own... I've got lots of chores to do but think I need to think of some ways to treat myself so that I don't get stuck in a constant cycle of work-weekend chores-work-weekend chores.... Obviously low cost and MFW style, any tips?

Made an OP of £170 this morning so still on track but don't want to fall off x

    Morning Selloptape :)

In respect of weekend chores, I try to do one thing each night in the week so that I have minimal to do at the weekends. More time for fun that way ;)
