Put in the county you are searching, you maximum price, select detached houses only and you will find plenty of choice.0 -

good luck.0 -
Try West Cumbria.
We moved here after my ill health retirement (I was 43!). The coast is a short drive away and we are in a large village with good traffic connections but very quiet. You can get a lovely place for not very much.

I live in Cleveleys, Lancashire FY5, which may have everything you are looking for.
It has a lovely main high street with all the usual Tesco, Boots, Argos etc, plus some fabulous independent shops including butchers, bakers, greengrocers, fish shop and even a dedicated cheese shop.
Plus you are very close to the sea and a lovely promenade if you fancy a stroll.
Let me know if you want any more info.

Where I live you have to spend £100 for that. That's a heck of a lot for a singleton.0 -

I'm single, but I do online shopping for bulky bits, and make good use of my freezer - portion things up before you freeze them, or cook then freeze, and you could easily manage on once every month or two, plus a little bit of local shopping for fresh veg.0 -
