Umm, that happened nearly four years ago.

But I won't tell my OH. She still has our big van insured in her name and spends ages ferreting-out the best deal every spring. I'd hate to spoil her 'fun' and it really does save us money.
On a more serious note, why haven't annuity rates been brought into line? The article implies they would be. Or does MITSTM need updating too?0 -
Me - one of my "ways of operating" in this life is I hate things being unnecessarily complicated. Well known for the second I take a good look at any organisation - and I will have removed all the "complications" promptly and made sure it takes minimum effort/thought to run. Motto = don't let me in the door if you don't want things being rationalised = because rationalisation is exactly what I do every time."Scorched Earth policy" (positive version) and all that remains is what makes logical sense every time LOL. Several organisations could tell you that one - and have been glad of it.
So - to me - it makes perfect sense (and seems totally fair) to just throw every single distinction out the window across the whole of society between those with female bodies and those with male bodies - and just say "Right - its now people - and why would we even be concerned with the sex their body is? <puzzled smilie>??". I literally do not understand why someone would be treated differently in any respect because their body is a certain sex - so, if that means higher car insurance premiums for people with female bodies = so be it #shrugs in indifference. Swings and roundabouts and it will all even out across every possible sphere.
Add the fact that - the more I think about it - the greater the potential there is in our Western societies early 21st century with people saying "My body may be one sex - but I self-identify as the other sex" #shrugs and couldnt give a darn personally. But - somewhere along the line someone somewhere is going to say "My body is one sex - but I'm the other = so why are you charging me a differential rate because of the sex my body is?"
I couldnt give a darn personally but I admit they will - actually - have a very valid point.:)0 -

Or would a shortcut way be to check out which areas have got the local tradesmen looking very optimistic about their personal futures as they race round renovating houses?;)0
