Hello,
I'm back.
Debt-Free Nillionaire Month 5:
* Enjoyed free run.
* Enjoyed the Boat Show in our village. Only stayed an hour as it's the same every year and the weather wasn't all that great. Just long enough for recovering OH to get some fresh air. Didn't spend any money at the £5-per-burger stalls but did spend 70p on Sainsbury's donuts from the shop in the village. Took a flask and enjoyed taking some photos. Drove half way down the mountain we live on and walked the rest to avoid paying £5(!) car parking at the event. OH is too weak to manage the walk all the way back up so this was a fair compromise.
* Drank left over coffee from flask when I got home.
Have a good weekend everyone.

Whoo-hoo! The chutney filled 7 big jars (including 2 nice kilner ones to give as gifts) & 1 small one.
Pear cake is in the oven. Usefully used up a leftover bit of Stork block in that. Recipe says '1 pear' 1? That's not going to help with the pear mountain. Stuck 3 in.
Refilled all our tiny plastic boxes with dried fruit for next week's work snacks.
Just got to label all my jars & sweep up all the bits of flour & pears I seem to have cast liberally around me as I worked, then it's Bum in Chair with the Knitting Time.
F x2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!0 -

Hi everyone
I'm late arriving today, basically because I haven't stopped all day. But I'm here now... Things are very tense at home unfortunately.
I can't bring myself to talk to dh at the moment, and the kids are picking up on the tension. DS is misbehaving something chronic and dd has turned into a moaning whingebag. I'm stressed beyond belief and really have no clue what to do... Anyway - being busy has its perks, as it gives me less time to think, but not a frugal day at all.
I have already:
checked banking
PAD to the Christmas getaway - all paid now! :T
taken ds to football
caught up for an hour with the bestie
took cat back to the vets - another £58
taken kids to gymnastics
took them to the local horticultural show
made lunch
changed cat litter and run the hoover round
And still on my list of things to do today
prep veggies for tomorrow's batch cook
change beds
get medication into naughty tortie
nap
try not to let the kids get to me (or dh for that matter) Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Afternoon all

Sorry to hear that you are having a stressful day CCL
Hope tomorrow will be better for you.
Well, not much done this end, as I was babysitting this morning (DD likes running, and was in one of those races where you have to wade through lakes and pits of mud ) Anyway, just OH and I again now.
* Low spend day - just bought some bread this morning (been a bit lazy with the BM this week - must get back to it
*Entertained baby GD for free - fed the ducks at the park, looked for dogs, and looked for entertaining things in the shop windows (such as boots and balls - she likes things she can name at the moment, though dogs have always been a big hit :rotfl:) She also discovered a small stone frog ornament in the garden, and was enthusiastically 'feeding' it with her rabbit watering can and talking to 'oggy':D
*HM meals from stores
* Onepoll payment of £40 has landed in my paypal account
*Likewise £4 from Pinecone
*Sold a pair of jeans on ebay
Bought another pair yesterday, but inexplicably, the supermarket ones, albeit new, that I sold made about 4 times as much as the Next ones that I bought
* Went to the Sainsbugs filling station with OH as he needed to fill up his truck with diesel. Used my cashback card, and they are currently giving 10 x Nectar points on fuel, so I made sure I got those :T
* Washing on line to dry
* Get OH to light the woodburner in a minute as it is freezing
Still to do:
Something with tomatoes in for supper :rotfl:
Walk pup - although he is asleep on my foot at the moment :rotfl:
Must achieve more tomorrow

CCL - I'm going to pop over to your diary to see how things are in a bit but you do sound so stressed you poor thing.
Dawn - I think your DD sounds ace. To still be doing extreme sports at this time of year is hardcore
So today so far. Met up with a friend who has given us some lovely baby gifts. One of the Beautrix Potter books, a sweet stuffed toy & a huge bag of hand me down girls baby clothes. I swear we won't need to pay a penny until this girl turns 5.
Walked very slowly to son's dance class and back a bit but mainly used the bus today.
We are still using up the food OH'S parents got for us. I think they were slightly concerned at how we live but then MIL has a walk in pantry full from floor to ceiling of cans. And a tall freezer stuffed to the gills with meat. We just don't need to live like that being so close to the shops. I am very grateful to them for doing it this week though.
Recieved a card from a good friend with a £20 cheque for the baby and £10 for my son to get a gift for himself. This is very nice of her. It also started a good discussion with OH and son on where we should open her savings account. It's such a pity they don't do the CTF contribution anymore as it feels very unequal for one child to have had x start and the other Y. What have others done in this situation?
Trying to balance myself out a bit as well mood wise. I found the same feelings of high energy surging through me last time I had a baby. Like I wake at 3 am. And lie there with ideas fizzing through me and feel so happy etc. But 3 hours later I'm exhausted and wish I'd been able to sleep. I have been going to bed when DS does and just hanging out in our room with the baby and OH and then going to sleep around 10 to try and ensure we all get enough rest even with the long awake stretches. So I am trying. I've just gone for a light salad plate for dinner tonight which OH made so I've been resting with the baby since around 4.30 which is lovely down time.
Tommorow if things go ok well take a very slow stroll to Mr S and pick up a few bits needed then come back. OH will take DS to a birthday party in the afternoon and we'll stay home. So no massive plans.
Anyway sounds like you have all been busy with various things
