Anyone tell me the difference between a 15.6" laptop compared with same size but notebook?

    None. Same thing.

    Hi all,

Thanks for all the info. I'm not keen on Toshiba laptops based on previous experience, so I'd be more likely to go for the HP 250 G4 that was recommended, but what's the cheapest way of getting Microsoft Office (at least Excel and Word) on it?

    Thanks.

Some people could say the same about HP laptops.....
I'm still using the same Toshiba six years later, whilst my niece has already gone through two HP laptops. Goodness knows what she is using now.
Every now and then a brand might release a lemon.

I've read a handful of reviews about this one, complaining about similar issues to the ones I had back then, so although it was only a handful it was a little off putting. Also, I've read about people having issues with the wifi not working properly on it.

I want to make sure I make the right choice as I'm not remotely technical so wouldn't be able to resolve problems myself (having tried and failed by using the techie forums in the past).

Understood, but not even the HP remains unscathed by reviews.

    That's very true.
