Louis Tiran Sharm - Thompson took my booking, hotel won't be built!!!

They want another £200 for a suite.
I want to find out where the suites are in relation to the beach/sea, if they are the closest rooms, then its worth the money, if they are not, then its not.
I have a map of the hotel (someone sent it to me via another holiday forum), but I can't get a reply from the hotel as to what sort of room we should book to get in one of the 4 blocks nearest to the beach/sea.
So I know the room numbers, but still none the wiser.
Thomson are ringing me tomorrow with as much info as they can find out about whats so great about the suites (apart from a sofa/seating area) & if they have any idea of where they are, then I can book the suite or take a basic upgrade to a double family room (any advice?).0 -
I like the tripadviser site- gives a ranking

not perfect, but maybe a good start when conisdering your alternative choice
of course not all are AI
For an example week (easter), Thomsons seem to be charging a lot more for Magic life resort than others, yet rating not that great
have you tried to get them to quote on a HB hotel but with AI thrown in... ?? to widen th choice ( I know some at the Baon had this last year )
there's a thread on there about the Louis tiran that site forum also

I've booked for Melia Sinai for a wek at easter via XL ( tesco deals!), best ranked AI according to tripadviser, although doubt it will be as good as Louis Tiran promisesAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
Right, well yesterday was d-day & PC was mucked up. so couldn't get online to read your advice first (got it repaired £50!).
The suites DO have a terrace, BUT they are located in the middle of the accomodation.
The Double family rooms are scattered.
I went for the DFR, because I don't want to be in the middle, I want to be at an end, THE SEA END!!!!!
So booking is done, no extra money, but they are keeping the sea view supplement on (wish I hadn't bothered with that now).
Can't price compare now, as the prices have risen. But when I was first booking, their wasn't much difference.0
