when do capital one offer credit limit increase?

It took me two years to get my first increase (end of last month)
Started with the £200 limit of course, and now it is at the dizzy heights of £800 :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
I found Cap 1 to be by far the slowest of the adverse cards to increase limits
I took out Cap1 (luma) Barclays initial and Aqua all pretty close together and all with 200-250 starting limits
2 years later Cap 1 limit is now £700, Barclays £2.5k and Aqua £3k all three cards have never missed a payment or been overlimit etc

why would you want an increase? its not the sort of card you want to hold a balance on.0

If you are using the card in order to gain section 75 protection on purchases, a limit of a few hundred might not be good enough . . .

You only have to pay part of the cost (at least £100) on the card to get the Section 75 cover. However it would be a pain using two cards to pay for something, and you'd then have to clear the Capital One card to make room for the next purchase.0 -
Not Capital 1 or adverse card but I had a card I needed a higher limit on and simply asked, they promptly doubled it.
Worth waiting a couple of months then asking.What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

For me it was 4 months after getting the card, it went from £500 to £1000 then another 4 months later £2000, I've asked them to leave it at that, I didn't want it putting up again!0

Have you ever tried splitting a payment over several cards on an online shop?
