when do capital one offer credit limit increase?

I'm using their adverse credit card with the high APR. I have just received the 4th statement and again paid off the balance in full. What are your experiences with them increasing the credit limits.
I came into this world with nothing and I'm gonna leave with nothing.

  • When I had a Capital One it took 6 months for them to increase. BTW that was from £500 to £1500.

They do seem to be rubbish at increasing limits.

My limit got increased every 9 months and is now £3000, which I didn't even think they would offer with my card (supposedly a "bad credit" card, but continues to have benefits of 0% foreign purchase fees and 0.5% cashback, which they haven't removed unlike some of their other products)

Once in a blue moon. I just closed my old progress card that was at 23% APR. Their cards and CS had been going downhill for a while. Stuck with AmEx who've kept my Platinum Cashback card at 13% APR for purchase, but clear in full each month by manual payment

I've just received my 1st increase from 200-450 from Cap1.

Think its over 1 year since I go this card.

I haven't setup dd-I make payments online in advance of payment due date.

I only use it for emergencies if at all
Only used slightly above 50% last year and cleared over 2 payments,

I'm enjoying using debit card 99% time.

  • I believe capital one state the account must be 6 months old before it is eligible, then it would be down to account management and your financial circumstances. Impossible for anyone to say when it will happen, only that after 6 months it becomes a possibility

Mine increased after 6 months, then again after a further 12 months.
  • I opened a Capital One Luma card last February with a £200 limit. Finally started being accepted for better cards with higher limits after having it just over a year so decided to close it in August. They offered me a limit increase to £800 on the phone whilst closing which I declined. They seem a bit slow to increase unlike Barclaycard initial etc.

Probably never. Will have had a card with them for 2 years in December, no increase. Although I clear in full by DD each month, so not the most attractive customer.
