Have RYANAIR cancelled your winter booking but not told you yet?

Too much of a good thing ynot2005 ! We are now starting to take flying to Europe for £40 RTN for granted. Most of the hassle isnt even RYANAIRS fault.
One other concern is the amount of (often unjust IMO) panic this thread has created. Contrary to what a lot of people are now believing after reading this thread, Ryanair are still Europes most reliable and punctual airline. Booking Ryanair means you are MORE LIKELY TO GET TO YOUR DESTINATION AND BACK than any other airline.0 -
exactly budget, the whole airport experience can be a real pain, but that hardly ever gets a mention, what about BAA security queues a few months ago, passports queues which can be outrageous, car park grief, its all extra stress and unpleasant
thats what the problems are in my eyes, not who gets on the plane first, or travellers geting involved with push and shove, you can avoid all that nonsense yourself and take a seat and chill
spot on budget the statistics are there to prove ryanair are doing it right, they are not perfect and i accept that for £10 flights
peterbaker does seem to have a curse on him and his bookings, but that isnt the norm thats for sure0 -

yes , its called KARMA.
What you seek you will find. Start looking for problems- they will find you -THATS GUARANTEED !
Peter does seem to find (attract ?) a problem where non exist. ie GIBRALTAR CURRENCY.
You dont need it btw. 1 GB pound = 1 Gibraltar pound = 1 Scottish pound. All are accepted.
You dont need to change currency to spend in Gibraltar, however if you want some (maybe souvenier or stupidity?), TRAVELEX will give you some at the airport at a rate of (APROX) £1.10 UK = £1 gibraltar IE 10% LOADING
The last I heard, TRAVELEX are a business who make their money on currency differentials. PETER thinks they should sell a GIB pound at the same as a UK pound.Wheres the business in that ?0 -
B_F what's caused you to dredge up my Gibraltar query after so many months? ... and Krap about Karma?
I find problems because I have an eye for detail and I understand more than the average punter about what drives the world around me. Not all problems I find are my own of course, so I am sure many would wish I minded my own business. However I generally don't suffer problems for long - I deal with them or get those responsible to do so, so that leaves me time to notice others which I might then bring here to discuss for the general good - public-spirited of me, isn't it?
Like my original post in this thread and all subsequent reports, my Travelex GIB query was perfectly valid, of course ! Businesses that prey on the general public's lack of knowledge deserve criticism. I have been to Gibraltar a number of times and as a bit of a coin collector I have since childhood been aware that generally there is no practical difference between a Gibraltar pound and an English one apart from the curiosity in the prettier patterns ... unless someone wants to make an obtuse legal currency point ... Gibraltar coins turn up in loose change all the time and anyone with half a notion in Gibraltar will do their best to ask for UK notes in their change rather than bringing back the local ones. That's why when my baggage reclaim was delayed at Stansted I noticed Travelex preying Airside with their very dubious exchange rate.
It's not clever, it's just greedy and opportunistic to the point of a rip-off of everyone that gets caught by it. There IS no business in it so why are Travelex making one? They deserved criticism for it ... simple as that.0 -
slightly off topic, but I wondered if perhaps someone may be able to offer some advice? I'm trying to book flights from Kaunas to Glasgow Prestwick for the summer as part of a summer holiday. However they dont seem to be booking after March - nothing on the site to say they've canclled the route - tried emailing some ryanair email I found on line but ofcourse no reply. Anyone know how I might find out without phoning that ridiculously priced tarriff phone no!?

You could try calling the airport - if anyone knows then I am sure they will have tried to keep themselves up to date about whether Ryanair will keep coming
