I wasn't sure what I was after, but was looking for things that fitted certain criteria within a price range. The C-max became available and I liked it.

It is not unusual to find a car that better fits your needs when you start looking around.

C Max is a good family vehicle. Lots of space and should be reliable if you avoid the 1.6tdci.

I would probably go for a petrol one if the only other choice was a diesel with a DPF.

clios are brilliant, its unbelievable what you can fit in the boot of a clio, that seems pretty high mileage for that price, though

After 6 yrs with a mk3 Clio I wouldn't describe the boot as generous.

    Good enough for shopping duties.

I would have a Clio again though would likely go petrol as the the newer ones are all DPF.

One reason we kept ours so long was due to the fact it was non DPF, it also had 5doors and decent AirCon.
