Nationwide mortgage

Fairy - so are you still waiting on the mip at the moment?
Xxlauxx - hopefully you should hear back from them this week.
Just recieved my reservation form from estate agents so I can start the help to buy application, but no point until I hear more as still need to instruct solicitors as well.
Don't want to be paying any more money out until we know if we will be getting the mortgage offer as we will already have lost the valuation fee and the reservation costs if we get declined for the mortgage 0 0

What's an MIP?! Sorry I don't know all the terms.
The DIP was ok, then it was a refer on the full application. The broker rang the BDM who said yes it was about our existing debt commitment but broker detailed how it would be settled. NW requested a extra payslip on Thursday which was uploaded . Broker sent off H2B form on Thursday as he had delayed but *thinks* the mortgage will go through....
I'm also worried about our sale as that's all a bit quiet!
Hate this feeling of being not in control!0

A mip is the same thing as a dip (mortgage in principle rather than decision in principle)
Ahh ok, I wasn't sure whether you had the dip or if you were at the same stage as xxlauxx ans had a refer on the dip.
So you currently are at the underwriting stage, have you been advised of the backlog as well? I was told if we need further info then we go back the the back of the queue. I hate all this waiting about!
What's the bdm? (a new term for me) lol x0

Ah so yours was refered after an accepted dip? Ah I'm jealous I want to know about our dip never mind the mortgage!
It was allowing us to submit a full application whilst waiting on the dip so we did that.
We were tracking it online but as soon as we applied for the full application we couldn't anymore.
I hope that as we have had to send all payslips and bank statement for the dip, that when/if we get our application looked at it may be quicker? Or maybe I am just being too optimistic?!?0

Xxlauxx I don't think it'd be looked at any quicker just due to the fact they're saying there's a backlog and it'd still have to have the valuation conducted and then go into the queue for the underwriters.
But in terms of the speed of the decision it should help as they will already have the documents.
For the full application they required from us :
 Employer reference
 6 months bank statements
 Sa302s (3years)
 Tax year overviews (3years)
 Self assessment account (3 years)
 6 months payslips
 Maintenence letter
 Proof of address
 I.D
Details of solicitors we are using
If you've supplied pretty much all of that already then at least they shouldnt keep coming back to you for things x0

I just rang them. I ring every day for an update as previously they have requested me info and didn't tell me?
Apparently my last document sent Wednesday hasn't been looked at yet.
But they have confirmed that the reason we have been refered on the DIP because of the default. My positive thoughts are telling me that at least we weren't declined on the basis of a default at the first hurdle...
Been told to ring back Thursday??
 I don't think I can wait that long!! Haha!0

Ive just got off the phone to my broker,
The underwriters have requested a few of my pages of bank statements to be rescanned as there seems to be a little bit at the bottom of a couple of pages that have a line or so missing. And for our marriage certificate to be scanned jn two parts as it's too long for the scanner to do in one.
I'm assuming it's a good thing that they want these as they can see everything there and haven't declined it, just want better copies (there is literally two lines missing on the bank statements so nothing that would make a difference)0

Xxlauxx oh no that sucks. This waiting game is awful. I'm guessing now I've sent these documents over that I'm straight to the back of the queue again so another 4 days before I will hear anything. So im holding on for end of the week now too x0

Ooooh well keep me updated and I will too! Every time I get a text my heart skips a beat!0

Tell me about it, texts, email the lot lol.
Mortgage broker just emailed saying she's going to ring nationwide first thing in the morning. I will keep you updated... Scary! Although to be honest they will probably just say we are back at the back of the queue now0
